Welcome to Dressed for My Day, where I’m looking back over the year to discover what is resonating most with you and with me. Yesterday I shared the 20 Most Popular Blog Posts of the year. That analysis really helped me understand what is bringing new readers to the blog. But today I’m focusing on reader purchasing habits. Remember, you are always welcome here even if you never purchase a thing through my blog. But obviously affiliate sells are one of my main sources of revenue, so it makes sense to see what types of products readers are purchasing the most through my blog and YouTube channel. Let’s look at the 21 most popular sellers of 2021.
This post contains affiliate links. When you shop through my links I potentially earn a commission on your purchases, but at no additional cost to you. Thank you so much for supporting my work here by shopping my links.
I’ll list these in typical countdown fashion, from 21 to 1. Also, keep in mind that I actually have no record of exact purchases. These analytics are based on purchased made when readers or YouTube viewers clicked through the correlating link. I’ll explain a little more with the #21 top seller.
Surprisingly, many of these items are still available. In fact, a few of them have been available for up to three years now. Others are not available, but I still linked to them when possible because stores sometimes offer similar items on those pages, in case you’re interested.
Let’s go!
#21 – Handheld Clothes Steamer
I’ve been using a steamer for my clothes for years, especially as I transfer them from storage to my closet with the change of seasons. I actually use a bigger and bulkier one most of the time, but I featured the Hilife Handheld Clothes Steamer in this post on How I Change My Wardrobe Out Between Seasons.
Let me pause and explain these analytics a little better before we move on. My analytics show me that 70 purchases were made through my link to the Hilife Handheld Clothes Steamer. But in truth some of the purchasers may have pivoted and bought something else, either another steamer or a load of paper towels. Ha! But as the numbers go up in this list I think they become even more accurate. So I think it’s safe to say that these are indeed the 21 most popular sellers at Dressed for My Day in 2021. Make sense? Let’s move on!
#20 – Drawcord Cropped Pants
I shared these Drawcord Cropped Pants a couple of times I think, plus in a few How I Really Dressed for My Day posts. They were definitely some of my most worn pants in my closet this summer. I’d love to hear from you if you also purchased and enjoyed these.
#19 – Hanging Jewelry Organizer
I love using my Hanging Jewelry Organizer on my dresser. It’s definitely the easiest way to keep my necklaces tangle free and ready to wear. I do wonder if my less expensive jewelry might would stay tarnish-free a little longer if I kept them in my jewelry box. Thoughts? But I sure do enjoy the convenience of this stand!
#18 – Leopard Print V-Neck Sleeveless Blouse
I’ve been featuring this Leopard Print V-Neck Sleeveless Blouse on the blog and my YouTube channel for at least a year and a half now. In fact, it was in my list of favorite purchases last year and in my Top 20 Reader Favorites list last year. Ha!
Truly this little blouse is a major player in my wardrobe. It works perfectly with my black pants and blazer, but also with jeans or even dressy shorts, as shown above.
And I’ve received some very snarky, rude comments on YouTube when I wore this Leopard Print V-Neck Sleeveless Blouse in this very popular video. Hahaha! I’ve finally learned not to let those bother me.
The Leopard Print V-Neck Sleeveless Blouse is still available and in all sizes. I think it’s a classic. It runs true to size.
#17 – Essential Camisole
I have a feeling the Essential Camisole should be higher up the list, but I’ve probably used multiple links for this one very popular item. Of course I featured this Essential Camisole most recently in my Winter Wardrobe Essentials Base Layers video.
I wear this Essential Camisole almost daily in the winter under my sweaters. But I’ve even worn it under dressy blouses, too. I love that they come in a variety of skin tones and have adjustable straps. I find them to run true to size.
#16 – Casual Washed Blazer
You will probably see me styling this Casual Washed Blazer again in the early spring because I love it that much. I’m glad that many of you do, too. Mine is in jungle green and it’s also available in indigo blue. Of course it’s part of Talbots’ Red Hanger Sale right now, so that’s a sweet deal. It’s marked down and you can get an additional 40% off.
#15 – Coach Turnlock Clasp Satchel
I purchased the Coach Turnlock Clasp Satchel in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and carried it often through the end of the summer and into the fall. Evidently many of you did the same!
While this bag is no longer available, I will say that I have found Coach bags much improved in quality this year. I purchased two this year for myself and I purchased this one for my daughter, and she says she gets compliments on it regularly.
#14 – Spongelle Bath & Body Sponges
I featured the Spongelle Bath & Body Sponges in my Christmas Gift Guide video, and lots of viewers purchased them. I hope all the recipients of these fun multi use sponges enjoy them as much as I have.
Learn more about these fun Spongelle Bath & Body Sponges in this video.
#13 – Cashmere Essential V-Neck Sweater
If a cashmere sweater didn’t show up on this list I’d have to question my calling. Ha! You know I love a cashmere sweater. And this Cashmere Essential V-Neck Sweater from Nordstrom is indeed a good one at a great price.
You may have also seen this Cashmere Essential V-Neck Sweater in lovely blue surf in this Holiday Outfits from Your Closet video or this week’s video on styling sweaters and jeans.
#12 – Sadie & Jane T-Shirts
When I started creating this top 20 list I forgot to check my smaller affiliate programs for those analytics. But after I checked the Sadie & Jane analytics I knew I needed to include the Sadie & Jane T-Shirts in my top 20 sellers. I’m not sure exactly which t-shirts readers and viewers purchased, but you’ve purchased well over 200 of these Christian tees.
If you’d like to learn more about this mom and daughters company, be sure to check out my blog post about Sadie + Jane.
#11 – The Charles Stanley Life Principles Bible, NASB
I am pleased as punch that the Charles Stanley Life Principles Bible is in my top 20 list. And it probably should be higher up in our list because some of you may have also purchased it in the New King James version, which is a different link. Today I’m completing the reading through of the Bible for 2021 in this amazing devotional Bible. I’ve read it several times before and it never disappoints.
If you have purchased The Charles Stanley Life Principles Bible and are starting off with it tomorrow, congratulations! That is one of the best decisions you’ll ever make. You’ll absolutely love it. And if you miss a day here and there, just hang in there. Keep going. Don’t stop. You will be so blessed for spending time in God’s Word daily.
We’re halfway through the list! Stay with me.
#10 – J.Crew Vintage Beach Rose Tee
I think I shared this J.Crew Vintage Beach Rose Tee about three times this spring and summer. And I wore it many more times. It’s not longer available, but keep an eye on J.Crew for similar sweet tees as spring unfolds.
I love having fun graphic tees in my wardrobe. They are so versatile.
#9 – Wiselife Storage Bags
I stored my spring and summer shoes and some of my warm weather clothese in these Wiselife Storage Bags. Evidently many of you did the same.
#8 – Corduroy Shacket
I shared multiple ways to style the new shacket trend in this post and evidently many of you jumped on board. The Corduroy Shacket comes in at number eight on our list. I’d love to hear how you’re liking this Corduroy Shacket if you purchased one.
Actually my exact Corduroy Shacket and the one you probably purchased is no longer available. But I’m linking to one that is very similar.
#7 – LeSylvie Crop Jeans by Frame
I’m surprised to see that the LeSylvie Crop Jeans by Frame are still available…in one size. But evidently many of my readers already purchased these great fitting, oh so soft cropped jeans.
#6 – Clip Dot Blouse
Here’s another one of my favorites that evidently resonated with readers and viewers, too. I’m pretty sure I featured this Clip Dot Blouse a few times, once on the blog and then it showed up in a couple of videos. Fortunately, it’s still available and in multiple colors.
I love this Clip Dot Blouse with my black suit, but it’s equally eye-catching with jeans.
The Clip Dot Blouse runs true to size and is available in nine colors.
#5 – Mellanni Bed Sheets
I have had the Mellanni Bed Sheets on my beds for several years now, and I just can’t bring myself to purchase any other kind. These Amazon Mellanni Bed Sheets are a great price, but they’re also extremely soft and cozy. I have them in white and in this pretty blue paisley.
#4 – The Wish Book Christmas
I’m also very happy that The Wish Book Christmas is on our top 20 list. It’s always a pleasure to support a fellow author. Well, I say fellow author. I’ve only written non-fiction books, and I don’t put myself in the same category with Lynn Austin, for sure. But I was thrilled when I was asked to be on her book launch team. I was even more thrilled after I read the book.
If you missed out on The Wish Book Christmas it’s not too late to purchase one. I’d tuck it away for next Christmas…if you can resist this quick read right now! Lynn Austin is my favorite Christian fiction author, and I can highly recommend ALL of her books. I just finished Chasing Shadows a few weeks ago and it was wonderful, too.
#3 – Banana Republic Supima Cotton V-Neck Tee
I’ve been sharing about the Banana Republic Supima Cotton V-Neck Tee for no fewer than three years. It has been my go-to short sleeve tee, especially in the spring and fall for layering.
The Banana Republic Supima Cotton V-Neck Tee also comes in black, grey and dark grey. It use to run large and I wore a small. But I think they’ve adjusted the sizing and the newer ones I’ve purchased seem to run true to size.
#2 – Nic+Zoe Wonderstretch Straight Leg Pants
Here’s another item I’ve been touting for about three years – maybe more. I absolutely love my Nic+Zoe Wonderstretch Straight Leg Pants. I was a little worried that I’d gained a few pounds and could no longer fit nicely into mine. But I tried them on a few days ago and they still fit great. These are classic, straight leg slacks at their finest.
I’m not even sure I’ve really featured these pants this year??? Let me brows the archives again…
Ahh, yes! Here they are in this amazing, classic outfit. First, here’s a closeup of the pants. I love the elasticized fit. It’s not so much an elasticized waistband as it is that the pants are completely elasticized. Make sense? As the website says, “Versatile straight-leg pants are designed for a clean, smooth fit with plenty of stretch for exceptional comfort and shape-retention.”
They are just so versatile and so beautiful. Oh!!! I just love these pants!
So I’m pleased beyond measure that they are the number two seller.
#1 – Cargo Crop Chino
As much as my readers love Talbots, I am quite surprised that the Cargo Crop Chino is only the second Talbots item on my top 20 list. But boy, oh, boy! Did these pants sell???! In fact, the Cargo Crop Chino is the number one best seller at Dressed for my Day this year.
Of course, once again I think I did style the Cargo Crop Chino several times and I probably showed them in a video or two, as well. They are surprisingly still available, too. They come in a few other fun colors also.
Well, that’s a wrap! It was quite educational for me to look through these analytics. Thanks for indulging me as I do these reviews. My goal is to use what I learn to create great content for 2022.
Speaking of 2022, I hope you have a lovely New Year’s Eve. Be safe if you get out and about. We’ll lay low. Hopefully we’ll be watching Georgia whoop up on Michigan. We shall see.

Blessed for My Day
I always love breaking in a new calendar. At the same time, new things can be a little scary. But as we approach this new year – not knowing what it will hold – let’s determine to do so with grateful hearts. Each day will be an opportunity to thank God for His provision and to praise Him for His faithfulness.
We can trust this His love will carry us through the hills and the valleys. We know that He will be merciful to us every day, extending fresh grace each morning. And we know without a doubt that He will be faithful to keep His promises without fail. Praise the Lord. Great is His faithfulness.
Oh sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things! His right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him. ~ Psalm 98:1
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. ~ Lamentations 3:22-23
Thanks, Kay! I enjoyed this post very much. Wishing you a very happy new year!
Can’t believe you got sparky comments over a beautiful leopard v-neck top…go figure. You do you!
Hahaha! For some reason there are some women who believe that animal print makes you look old. I just totally disagree. But to each her own! 😉 I’m glad you enjoyed the post!
All were great choices…..
Looking forward to another year following you Kay, here on email, DFMD FB and Instagram!
Have a Happy New Year and May God Bless you and your family in 2022.
Blessings❤️🎉🎊❤️
Thanks so much Holly. I appreciate you!
Thanks Kay with all of your post. I love receiving all of your post. Have a Happy New Year!
Thank you Vicki. Happy New Year!
Hi Kay. Love your posts and videos. I live in the UK so can’t buy from the stores you feature but still enjoy the fashion tips.
Good health and happiness for 2022.
Gill
And that is SO okay. I am much more concerned about providing good content than I am selling the items I feature. Thank you for reading. Have a wonderful new year!
Good Morning Kay, I just found you, and I’m so glad I did. Looking forward to your wonderful posts.
Happy New Year!!!
Happy New Year! I purchase 4 of the beautiful tees from Sadie and Jane. I also purchased several pieces of their jewelery.
This was a fun post! I did buy a couple of these things, and a few others that did not make the top 21. I have enjoyed the leopard print shell and Banana Republic tees.
Happy New Year
We’ll, I have the hanging jewelry organizer and the washed cotton blazer that I know for sure I was inspired to buy because of your blog posts. I already use the Spongelle shower sponges and I love them! Cashmere sweaters rule! And you inspired me to bring out my graphic tees again – mine are Life Is Good – you showed me how to style them so they look classy. Thank you for your work – I’ve just retired so I’ll be using your guidance to transition my wardrobe from corporate to retirement. Best wishes for 2022.
Thank you for sharing your top 21! As a result, I think I’ve already found a couple of things from this list to purchase as Christmas gifts for next year! LOL! And I’m eyeing the jewelry stand for myself!
Happy New Year to you and your family!
May the LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD lift His countenance upon you and give you peace. ~ Numbers 6:24-26
Kay, I have enjoyed reading your blog posts and watching your videos this year. Thank you for everything you do for your readers/subscribers! Have a happy and blessed 2022!
Thank you for all you do Kay! Want to wish you and your family a healthy happy new year filled with many blessings. I look forward to reading your posts each day and feel as though we are good friends. I have some of the items from your list today that either I bought or had bought for me as a gift. I trust you to show us items that are quality and classy. I hope you continue to do this for a long time!
Hi Kay,
Thanks for another wonderful post. Your encouragement has made 2021 better for me. This week I purchased my new study Bible and today I received my new. Rifle Paper planner and pen. I’m ready to go with 2022! I’ve bought some great new clothes, too, and I’ve begun taking care with my appearance again. I’m so grateful to you.
As a recently retired university professor, I can definitely relate to snarky comments. People can be so mean-spirited with feedback. And, it can be hard to focus on all the good things folks say because of the naysayers. I admire you for calling them out and a setting a boundary. Henry Cloud would be proud.
Many thanks for your hard work.
Hahaha! Yes! Henry Cloud is definitely in my head when I’m reading (and often deleting!) those rude comments. I figure I wouldn’t let someone come into my home and say rude things, so I’m not going to tolerate it in my DFMD community either. That’s not to say that I don’t let people express opposing views. That’s perfectly fine. But when they’re dogmatic or just plain mean I delete them. Thanks so much for sharing Cynthia. I’m so glad you enjoy the blog. And you’re going to love that Bible and calendar!
Kay,
For those of us who are new to the Charles Stanley Bible, could you suggest a way to begin a daily study or practice using it?
Thank you,
Cynthia
Hi Cynthia. I simply suggest reading the daily reading portions each day at a time that works well for you. I read mine every morning with coffee before beginning my day. The readings include a portion of the Old Testament, a portion of the New Testament, some from Psalms and some from Proverbs. Most days you’ll also see some pullout verses with Dr. Stanley’s notes and even a few paragraphs on one of the topics in the reading. You might consider keeping a notebook in which you list 1) things you learn about God’s character, 2) promises you see in the passages, 3) things you learn about human nature and/or 4) questions you have. Often those questions will be answered as you continue reading.
Thank you!
Loved this! Am visiting from Canada today and I get to go shopping where there’s a Talbots! So will look for some of your suggestions! So sorry u got some nasty comments- I just don’t understand some folks! Happy New Years and let’s hope and pray 2022 is better!
Have fun, Linda! Thanks for sharing. And those comments are just part of the job I guess. God always supplies me with encouragement from you ladies just when I need it. So it all weighs out in the end. 🥰
Happy New Year Kay,
I have loved the cashmere v necks and turtlenecks from Nordstrom. Yes I have the cargo pants, the Bible (just bought the two devotionals this year) and have loved reading Lynn Austin’s books (never have read before). The beautiful Vince pink sweater just picked up today. It’s on sale. Looking forward to your special style in 2022. Have a blessed day and new year.
Loved so many of your posts obviously, because I found I purchased so many of the top 21 items, The leopard shell, banana republic tees, Sadie & Jane tee with the butterfly, J Crew beach rose tee, and I don’t buy tee shirts usually; Nic & Zoe straight leg pants in black and white, the coach turn-lock clasp satchel, which I debated about for a while, but glad I bought it. Just love it! The cashmere essential v neck sweater in 3 colors, essential camisole, draw string cord pants, oh my! Many other items did not make the top 21!
I just love your BFMD! Keep sending them please. Have a blessed New Year.
Kay, Thank you for all the hard work you put into this site!! Your little devotional blesses me daily!! Your undergarment suggestions are the very best!! I love your classic outfit ideas the very best!! Thank you for standing for the Lord and showing Christian Tees!! I pray you and your family are blessed in 2022!! Happy New Year!!
No shoes or boots? I thought you showed us some great footwear but I may be partial, well yes I am, to shoes. I love the green blouse. I thought it would be higher on the list. The rest were no surprise. 🎼Happy New Year! Don’t forget to eat black eyed peas, greens and cornbread for Tomorrows dinner. Health, wealth and cornbread because.
Hahaha! I’m on it, Eve. IF they’re not sold out at the grocery store. I never seem to plan ahead for New Year’s Day. You’ll definitely see some shoes in My Favorite Purchases list – coming next week. And really those Talbots Chelsea boots may have been top sellers but I may have used multiple links to them and messed up my analytics. Thanks for sharing!
I have multiple similar leopard blouses. I think you can wear them at any age. It’s how you style and wear leopard that makes the difference, and not the print itself. I just had to go looking for the snarky comments, haha. I think you style it beautifully. Happy New Year!
Thanks so much Fonda. Same to you! 💕
Thank you for all you do, Kay. I am impressed by your professionalism, warmth, and good will. Look forward to starting my Life Principles Bible (New King James Version) tomorrow. Have enjoyed even sleeping in my Beach Rose Tee. Finally, I do really depend on Talbots because of its varied sizing (Women’s Petite for me), but I’m also enjoying the more laid-back JJill. Thanks again and may this New Year be a healthy and happy one for us all.
Oh you’re going to love that Bible. He provides such helpful and Real Life insights along the way. Very helpful.
Bought the jewelry stand and absolutely love it!
Oh that’s so good to hear. Thanks for letting me know. 😊
Thank you for all the work you do to help women look their best!
Your gift suggestions for Christmas were an added bonus and appreciated.
Ah ha! I forgot you were the pied piper for so many of my purchases this year;) Some of them were not the exact item but were very similar styles that I zeroed in on because you introduced them. Your influence is even greater than you can count! The coach bag is my favorite treasure. I enjoy it so much and would never have found it on my own. I also ordered the daily devotionals this week. I almost wrote a thank you note the other day, so I shall say it now. Your posts are heart-wearming, non judgemental and inspiring. Fashion is not only a way to express ourselves, it allows us to be noticed, listened to and be treated with respect. I appreciate your kindness and your posts are enjoyable and sincerely appreciated. Finally–I love your wednesday videos! I take a glass of iced tea, relax and enjoy. Thank you Kay.
thank for sharing Kay! I love reading about your wardrobe, even thought my taste might not be exactly the same, I love the ideas you give me. I have that leopard blouse but struggle to wear it, don’t know why. And I totally agree about the Banana Republic t-shirts, I buy them whenever they are on sale and absolutley live in mine all year long.
Have a wonderful new year and a happy 2022. Congratulations on your daughter’s engagement and upcoming wedding!
All the best!
Appreciate this post Kay and all you do to style great outfits. Silly question, but I would love to try your black-eye peas and collards recipes? Is it possible to share? 😊
Hello KP, I just cooked them each in some chicken broth. I tore the collards off the stem and chopped them up a bit and then covered them (2 bunches, that’s all they had left at the store!) with the chicken broth. Oh, I did chop up a white onion with them. I brought them to a boil and then simmered them for about two hours, covered. The black-eyed peas were rehydrated peas, so I just cooked them in about a cup of chicken broth for about 45 minutes. I salted them after cooking. I would have added ham or bacon to either, but I didn’t have them. And in the end, they all tasted very flavorful without the meat. It was delicious. Happy New Year!
