Last night in my small group meeting we talked about forgiveness and how difficult it is to practice. Our leader asked us some pointed questions to help us assess whether or not we have people we have not forgiven. I thought I’d share them with you today.
- Do I still get anxious or angry when I think about that person?
- Do I quietly hope that person hurts like I do?
- Can I pray for that person?
- Would I be frustrated if God blessed that person?
To forgive doesn’t mean we say that what the other person did was okay. Instead, it’s to cancel the debt. It means we decide they don’t owe us anything…an apology, a reason, anything.
Then Peter came up and said to him, “Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy-seven times. ~ Matthew 18:21-22
Great video today! The second look was my favorite but both were lovely. Thanks so much.
Thanks for talking about forgiveness, I needed that. The Lord has forgiven me; I need to forgive as He has forgiven me.
God bless you and your family Kay,
Suzanne
Thanks Suzanne. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Yes, forgiveness is hard. But we have been forgiven so much. ❤️
Fun and inspiring video! I was about to return a kimono I purchased from Loft but now that I see how you (and the other blogger) styled it I think I’ll keep it. Good ideas!
Ahh, wonderful. I’m glad the video inspired you! 👍
I just love your videos! They are so uplifting, fun and inspirational! You are a natural at this! I keep a style notebook that is divided by seasons and “dress” or “casual”, where I note things I see and things that I have that mimic the look I’m going for. I have it right beside me each Wednesday when watching your videos. Today you offered such practical tips for taking something we see and admire and making it our own using what we have. I’ve been studying the act of forgiveness this week due to something that happened recently. I like the questions you used and realize that yes, I can pray for the person and would be glad if God blessed this person. When it’s tougher to forgive, I just keep asking God every time it comes to mind to help me, because I know it is necessary. With time, it typically becomes a little easier. I love the visual of writing the hurt on a slip of paper, putting it into a balloon and releasing it. Cancelling the debt is a great way to look at this, and it’s what God expects from us.
Great job! Ilike how you took the style and made it your own. I have to do that all the time, especially with colours as I am warm toned and many of the fashion bloggers I follow are not:)
Thanks! Yes, that’s a great reason to think color choices rather than just the colors themselves. Thanks for sharing! 😊
Thanks for sharing some great tips on putting outfits together!
You bet! Glad you like the video. 🥰
I have often wondered how to do that if I didn’t have the same pieces. Today’s video answered my questions! I hope you are inside and warm today! We have had 7 inches of rain in the last 48-72 hours in Central Ohio. Water is everywhere! We had doctor’s appointments in Columbus this morning . The ramp off 270 to 23S was closed due to high water and I thought with the rain and wind, it was cold!. I wish we could at least have a little bit of spring! I don’t like the years we go from winter to summer! Spring is probably my favorite season!
I love your sweet voice on the videos and thank you for all the encouraging words during the last few weeks. Hopefully this thing is close to being over with! Take care and stay warm!

Forgot to ask in my previous post about your hair. I know this is personal and you do not have to answer if you aren’t comfortable with it. Your hair is so pretty. I was wondering if it is natural or if you have help from a bottle?
Hi Janice. What you see in the video is almost natural. I just get it brightened a little. In fact I just got it done…minutes ago! Yay a ya!!
Kay, I know nothing about making YouTube videos, but yours are very professional and well done. I know you said it was a huge learning curve for you, well done 👏🏻 I enjoyed the styles today. Thank you for taking the time to create these amazing videos for us!❤️
I am really enjoying your videos. I’m inspired to give a kimono another shot. I’ve had them in the past but ending up giving gem away. Maybe I’ll go take one back. 😄
I’ve had the pants from Chico’s in my “shopping cart” for a week. They look really comfortable but I wasn’t sure if I could incorporate them with items already in my closet. Your recent posts and video were a great help! I ordered the camel and sage. They’re on sale today for $35.00 so that was a great deal.
Can you tell me what you think of the opal color? I almost ordered them but wasn’t sure if the material was heavy enough. Light colored pants are always a struggle for me.
Thank you for the videos. I really enjoy them.
Hi Ellie. Thanks for letting me know. I haven’t gotten the opal ones in yet, but I have high hopes!
Love the video. I just love open up your emails everyday. I enjoy all the styles you have been showing. I do not have a kimono but I would like to get one. Would it look alright for a petite person?
Yes. I’d just look for a shorter kimono. And some come in petite sizes. You might check the ones at Loft. https://shopstyle.it/l/bhKk5
Great video and tips! I just ordered a Loft kimono and am excited to try it using some of your ideas. I also love the second outfit you showed. Your videos are so well done. Please keep them coming!
I loved your video today. The way you took what you had in your closet and made personal choice changes and how you did that gave me that aha moment and that I could do that too. In would love to see more “Copy that style ” videos in the future. It is a great way to look at my own clothes differently.
Thanks, Dee
Excellent Kay!!!! Probably my favorite video so far :). You knocked this one right out of the park. Thank you for all your hard work, research and preparation. The BFMD was very encouraging. ~🦋Lisa🦋~
I am loving your videos! Such helpful tips! I love being able to to use what I have and change it so that I have several looks! Keep them coming❤️
Great video! I look forward to seeing them each Wednesday. Would you please show us how to tie the belt on a trench coat? I really like the look.
Thanks!
Hi Dot. I’m so glad you enjoyed the video. I’ll definitely do a video eventually in which I demonstrate that, but meanwhile check out this blog post: http://206.189.207.166/how-to-tie-a-trench-coat/
So enjoyed the video today! It was very thorough in explaining how to personalize our own look and use what’s in our closet. Your outfits were lovely!
I loved ♥ this video! That is exactly what I do when I get a new catalog in the mail from Talbots. I say, ” I have that(pick an item) . But I never thought about wearing it with that(item) or with that color or style it that way.
Thank you so much for all your hard work doing the videos with your hubs.
Great video. Both looks are nice but that second look is so stinkin’ cute! Enjoying your videos. Thanks for all of your hard work to put them together. 😀
Thanks so much, Donna. I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos. Thanks for letting me know! ☺️
