Hello dear gal! Welcome to Dressed for My Day. I have a little style inspiration wrapped up for you in a pretty pink bow today. Pink is one of my signature colors. And I know many of you like it, too. Most every woman can find a shade of pink that works well with her coloring, and it’s such a sweet shade for summer. So today I’m simply gathering some of my current favorite finds that happen to be pretty in pink.

Pretty Pink - My Favorite Finds

First, let’s look at some of the pretty in pink clothing I’ve got my eyes on. These pieces would all add just a little bit of a feminine touch to your outfit, but still look modern and “grown-up.”

Pretty Pink - My Favorite Finds
#1 – pink Adrianna Pappel chiffon high-low midi dress // #2 – rose Tie Dye Lounge Pants // #3 – summerberry v-neck linen tee // #4 – cherry blossom Flutter Sleeve Smocked Neck Blouse // #5 – geranium pink breezy stripes classic cotton shirt // #6 – gardenia/white tile print Bermuda shorts // #7 – gardenia cap sleeve sweater // #8 – pink Nike dry tempo running shorts

Be sure to enjoy the names of these pink shades as you read through them. Let’s break it down!

#1 – pink Adrianna Pappel chiffon high-low midi dress // Oh, to have somewhere to go!!! If I had a wedding to attend… Ah, bliss! This dress is such a stunner. And yet, I think it would work well for most body types with the gathered front at the waistline and all the fluttering fabric. Just beautiful!

#2 – rose Tie Dye Lounge Pants // Want to wear the tie-dye trend, but not necessarily out and about? You could enjoy these pretty Tie Dye Lounge Pants around the house or while on vacation and be oh so comfy. Perfect for strolling, lounging or slumbering.

#3 – summerberry v-neck linen tee // I have this t-shirt in sand and love it. I’ve put this summerberry shade in my shopping cart at least half a dozen times. Ha! But I may follow through this time. This bright pink is definitely beautiful on women with green eyes.

#4 – cherry blossom Flutter Sleeve Smocked Neck Blouse // If you’re working from home and need to look pretty and presentable for video conference calls, this pretty blouse is your friend. It comes in several other lovely colors, too, but I prefer this sweet cherry blossom.

#5 – geranium pink breezy stripes classic cotton shirt // I tried this pretty geranium pink shirt on at Talbots and would have bought it except the sleeves were a tad too snug for me. If you don’t have my chubby muscular arms, you will love this ultra soft shirt for all sorts of occasions.

#6 – gardenia/white tile print Bermuda shorts // Also from Talbots, these tile print Bermuda shorts are so sharp and versatile. I love the Bermuda shorts I have from Talbots. They have just enough stretch to make them comfortable, but they stay wrinkle free with wear. Perfect with solid white, black or navy on top.

#7 – gardenia cap sleeve sweater // I remember trying this pretty cap sleeve sweater in my spring Talbots try-on session and loving it. I didn’t buy it because I’m really trying not to buy so many “office wear” type clothes. But again, if you’re on video conference calls, this pretty pink top would work wonderfully for you.

#8 – pink Nike dry tempo running shorts // My daughter swears by Nike dry tempo running shorts. Maybe I should order these for her! They also come in black, but I love, love, love the pink.

Do you like to wear pink? I’ll admit, I think that as we get older a little pink goes a long ways. Recently I let go of my light pink chinos, even though I think they’re so pretty and comfortable. But that’s why I definitely love the idea of adding just a splash of pink here and there to an outfit with accessories.

#1 – pink crystal palma Moonlight Short Pajamas // #2 – pink Acorn spa slides // #3 – wild pink Rebecca Minkoff Dip-Dye Ruana // #4 – dark raspberry Michael Kors August Slide // #5 – geranium pink multi strap sandals // #6 – dusty rose Brixton shield bucket hat // #7 – knockout pink Vans Old Skool Low Top Sneaker // #8 – Susanna Gold Multi Strand Necklace In Deep Blush Mother-Of-Pearl // #9 – pink Ted Baker Amali Leather Crossbody Bag // #10 – pink North/South Faux Leather Shoulder Bag // #11 – peach Rebecca Minkoff Major Leather Strap Watch

#1 – pink crystal palma Moonlight Short Pajamas // Oops! These pink crystal palma Moonlight Short Pajamas are almost sold out. But they are available in other pretty prints, too. I just think the soft pink palma print is so lovely.

#2 – pink Acorn spa slides // I bought a pair of similar pink Acorn spa slides several months ago and absolutely love them. I wear them every single day. Ha! So yeah, I’ve actually probably worn them more than any pair of shoes in my closet. Love, love, love. They’re nicely cushioned and I just toss them in the washer and dryer.

#3 – wild pink Rebecca Minkoff Dip-Dye Ruana // I am in fact ordering this beautiful wild pink Rebecca Minkoff Dip-Dye Ruana. I don’t know if I’ll keep it, but I’m going to give it a try. I think it will look wonderful with a white tee and jeans or denim shorts. And depending on the length, I think it will work with denim skirts, too.

#4 – dark raspberry Michael Kors August Slide // I have a similar pair of Michael Kors August Slides and really like them. But I love this dark raspberry for pairing with denim, white or even black.

#5 – geranium pink multi strap sandals // Okay, here’s an item I actually do own and love. These geranium pink multi strap sandals add a beautiful splash of color to my basic outfits. I prefer to wear them with soft neutrals as in this post or with just jeans and a white top.

#6 – dusty rose Brixton shield bucket hat // I mentioned in yesterday’s post on Accessorizing Like a Pro that we all need to get more comfortable with wearing hats and embrace them. Bucket hats are definitely trending for a casual vibe. This dusty rose Brixton shield bucket hat would look great for a day at an amusement park or just in the backyard. Pair it with denim shorts and a pretty graphic or white tee.

#7 – knockout pink Vans Old Skool Low Top Sneaker // A young friend at church had on these cute Vans Old Skool Low Top Sneakers this Sunday and I thought they looked amazing with her printed skirt and jean jacket. Hers were either red or orange (old brain, can’t remember!), but I love this pretty knockout pink, too. They’re also available in a lemon yellow.

#8 – Susanna Gold Multi Strand Necklace In Deep Blush Mother-Of-Pearl // I really enjoy my Kendra Scott necklaces, and this triple strand necklace would look so beautifully with an open v-neck or a crewneck tee.

#9 – pink Ted Baker Amali Leather Crossbody Bag // Yeah, this pink Ted Baker Amali Leather Crossbody Bag is a little pricey. But if you’re looking for a pretty structured bag this is a winner. I have this bag in a neutral taupe, but the pink would work nicely in a wardrobe that features pink.

#10 – pink North/South Faux Leather Shoulder Bag // This North/South Faux Leather Shoulder Bag wouldn’t just be a bag to carry your stuff; it’s a true accessory. Drape this over your shoulder when you’re wearing a pared down look for a pretty splash of color.

#11 – peach Rebecca Minkoff Major Leather Strap Watch // I probably should have included watches in yesterday’s accessory post, too. Adding a pretty watch is such a classy way to elevate an outfit because it adds structure. But a leather strap looks a little more casual while still being pretty and feminine.

Do you love pink, too? What color would you like to see me do a similar post on? Or did you like this? Hahaha! I just want to provide a variety of content, so I though a color edit would be fun. Let me know what you think!

Blessed for My Day

This week we’re thinking about what it means to be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger. I’ll admit, I am definitely fast to speak. Ha! And that gets me into trouble, especially with my husband. Not that he is mean about it. LOL! He’s not. He’s very patient. But I do have a bad habit of interrupting him. He expresses himself very slow and deliberately, while I’m thinking 90 to nothing! So I’m ready to jump into the conversation before he’s really ready to volley it my direction.

I have to conscientiously work on this. Being slow to speak does not come naturally to me. So in conversations I’m trying to “enjoy” listening more. Know what I mean? I think if I’ll look at listening as a gift I can give others but also an opportunity for discovery, then I’ll do it more intentionally and with real engagement.

But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger; for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God. ~ James 1:19-20

  1. I love pink, until I put it on. The color just doesn’t do anything for me, and some shades wash me out terribly. I may have to consider the v-neck sweater shown from Talbot’s. I have the sweater in other colors and the fit is very flattering. So maybe I should try pink again.

    1. Hi Michele. Sorry to hear that but accessories are a great way to add splashes of pink to your outfits if the color doesn’t work well for you in clothing. Shoes!! Belt, bracelet or soft pink handbags are great choices. Thanks so much for sharing. 💕

  2. I do like pink. The handbags are lovely as is the necklace. Scarves would also be a good way to use pink and rather than using it up to the face, a beautiful print attached to a handbag might work.
I have to really work on my listening skills too. I tend to just go ahead and speak. This is such a good lesson for me. Thanks!
    Have a great day!
    Suzanne

  3. Kay, Loving all the pink goodies. if I click thru on your Talbots link to put something on my wish list, will it still give you credit if/when I transfer it from wish list to my shopping bag?

    1. Maybe. But you can also just make sure you click through to Talbots again from my blog. Doesn’t have to be the same link necessarily. Thanks for asking 🥰.

  4. I love pink! The items you picked out were so cute.
Every morning, during my quiet time, I pray: Lord, help me to be quick to listen and slow to speak! So you aren’t the only one! God bless!

  5. I’m so tempted. Get thee behind me Satan ….and tell me how that wild pink ruana looks in the back. LOL I’m Leary of the shirt although it’s beautiful, I’ve run into trouble lately with too tight sleeves. i love the names.
I’m guilty of thinking about what I want to say next and forgetting to listen. Good to be reminded to listen.
