December 1, 2020

Hello and welcome to Dressed for My Day. For the past few months I’ve been issuing monthly challenges that give my readers a little impetus to “kick it into gear” in the areas of style, beauty, fitness and inner beauty. I invite you to let the December challenge inspire you in these areas this month as you use it in the way that best suits your life. You make this work for you. Let’s check out the December challenge theme and see how I’ve broken it down into the four components.

December Challenge

Bless Their Hearts!

I don’t know if you relate that phrase to passive aggressive behavior or a snarly attitude, but when this Southern gal says, “Bless your heart!” I mean it. I really do want God to bless you! And I think at this time of year we all want to bless the people in our lives as well. That’s why the December DFMD Challenge theme is Bless Their Hearts!

You can learn more about the theme and how I’ve broken into the style, beauty, fitness and inner beauty categories in the video.

How to Participate

How to Participate

How you participate in these challenges is really up to you. I create them simply to inspire you to be the very best version of yourself. So you do you! But I do find that I generally do better at personal challenges if I also line up some accountability.

So I invite you to join us in my Private Facebook Group if you’d like the ability to enjoy the challenges in the community of gracious, enjoyable and encouraging women from all over the world. I’m really amazed at this group. We have four hostesses who help moderate the group and keep it engaging. And those ladies do such a fantastic job with this group.

Bless Their Hearts

You absolutely must answer the few membership questions before we’ll let you into the group. That’s one of the ways we keep it safe. But if you’re on Facebook and want to join us, check it out here.

However, you can also participate and have a little accountability other ways:

  • Just email me occasionally and let me know how you’re fulfilling the challenge. You can email me through the contact form here or by replying to my daily emails. Subscribe to those here.
  • Share in the comments of any recent blog post and let us know how you’re doing in the challenge.
  • Do the challenge with a girlfriend or two. This is a good opportunity to tell them about my blog and/or YouTube channel.
  • Do the challenge on Instagram. When you share your outfits, beautiful blessings, acts of service, just tag me (@dressed_4_my_day) and use one of the hashtags below plus the hashtag #blesstheirhearts

Well, I think that about covers it. Let me know if you have any questions. And I’ve for you to share if you’re taking on the challenge and how you plan to participate. Thanks so much for dropping in today. And Happy December!

Blessed for My Day

To bless someone is to speak good into their lives. We speak good into someone’s life when we recognize a hard thing that they are doing well and we commend them for it. We also speak a blessing on someone when we remind them who they are, who they were created to be and what they were called to do. Sometimes people just need to know that someone else sees something in them that they have lost track of themselves.

We also speak a blessing into someone’s life when we verbally tell them that we will be walking with them, cheering them on and supporting them in any way we can. And we bless someone else when we share enthusiasm and joy over what we see God doing in their life. Who might you bless today?

And she cried out with a loud voice and said, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! And how has it happened to me that the mother of my Lord would come to me? For behold, when the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby leaped in my womb for joy. And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what had been spoken to herby the Lord.” ~ Luke 1:42-45

xoxo, Kay
