I got up this morning ready to send out my subscriber email and began perusing the sales to mention. When I saw that there were so many sales worth shopping, I decided to write up a post instead. This way you can swing back around and shop these at your leisure during your holiday weekend. After all, you’ve got burgers to grill, lemonade to drink, dogs to walk, trails to hike, fireworks to watch and laps to swim. Ha! But don’t wait too long to check out the best 4th of July weekend sales. At these savings, inventory will be going fast!
I’ll highlight a few of the best 4th of July weekend sales that feature items I happen to have. Then I’ll just run down the savings you can find at others. Besides, you don’t want to waste time reading my words. You’ve got sales to shop!
By the way, do keep in mind that with each of these sales there are generally exclusions. Most often if the retailer sales third party brands in items such as shoes, those are not included in the markdowns or discounts.
This post contains affiliate links. When you shop through my links I potentially earn a commission on your purchases, but at no additional cost to you. Thank you so much for supporting my work here by shopping my links.
Talbots // 40% off your entire purchase, ends
I know that many of my readers are avid Talbots shoppers. And these are the lowest prices across the board that Talbots has offered this season. Some items are indeed sold out, but there’s plenty of great finds.
My swimsuit cover-up above is included in the 40% off deal at Talbots. In fact, my friend Candy is wearing a swimsuit cover-up from Lands’ End that is also included in their weekend sale. Here are a few other items I have from Talbots that are included in the sale and still available.
And don’t forget, this is a great time to look for pieces that you can wear into fall. Look deep into the offerings to find pants and tops that will work as transition pieces in those early fall days. My crop cargo chinos are some of my favorites right now, but I know I’ll wear them into fall. And this heathered sweatshirt is an essential for your mountain or northern beach vacation, but will get plenty of wear this fall, too.
Plus, there are so many other beautiful things at Talbots that I, of course, do not have. You can check out all the offerings here and then narrow them down with the filters of your choice.
Kendra Scott // 20% off your purchase
I wear a lot of Kendra Scott jewelry. I find it to be modern, but also classic. And the quality is good for fashion jewelry. They do have fine jewelry, too, but it is not included in the 20% offer.
I wore this Tegan Y Necklace in my Instagram Live this week and several women messaged me asking for the link. It’s always striking and such a great choice for wearing with winter sweaters.
But even my customized jewelry is part of the Kendra Scott sale. I wear my customized Elisa multi strand necklace with the black drusy inset frequently (seen below). You can choose from an abundance of insets.
And I also am enjoying my customized Alex pendant with the Bronze Veined Teal Magnesite inset.
But I don’t even own any of the latest collections of Kendra Scott. They have some beautiful colorful jewelry in their New Arrivals and they’ve recently started offering men’s jewelry, as well. However, the Scott Bros. collection doesn’t appear to be part of the sale.
Old Navy // Savings up to 50% sitewide + take an extra 25% off your order, no code needed
Recently I featured a try-on session at Old Navy, and many of you seem to enjoy their styles and prices. This weekend you can get up to 50% off select items storewide. But you can also take an extra 25% off your order online only, no code needed.
Above I’m wearing those Cropped cargo chinos (40% off) from Talbots I mentioned earlier with this sweet sea salt t-shirt (just $10 + 25% off today only) from Old Navy. They have lots of other fun tees as well.
J.Crew // up to 70% off original prices, use code BESTSALE
J.Crew is calling this their end of the season sale, and they’re offering great prices on so many wear-now separates, including the linen pants I’m wearing below.
I’m also sharing these tie waist seaside pants in a blog post next week. These cotton pants are so comfortable and fun to wear. Right now they’re marked down 22% and I don’t know if they will be next week when I share them.
Nordstrom // Up to 60% off in the Sale inventory
Nordstrom has some great buys in their Sale section right now. Let me point out a few that I own and love.
Most noteworthy to me, these Sam Edelman Gala Two Strap Genuine Calf Hair Slide Sandals. I paid full price for these two years ago, and they’re still some of my most frequently worn sandals. Love, love, love! They’re 30% off and available in most sizes.
I don’t have these Eileen Fisher Voice Wedge Sandals, but I bought the Viv sandals last year, and they’re very similar to these. My Franco Sarto Grayson Slingback flats are marked down 40%. They have them in other colors besides the white, too.
By the way, that Coach bag above is not available in the Nordstrom Sale, but it is marked down on the Coach website. And they have just a couple left in the black, too.

Blessed for My Day
Some people make it very hard not to have an argument. Know what I mean? And some days even the most agreeable people can rub you wrong…over and over and over. Before you know it emotions are running high and sides have been chosen. You’re in a full blown fight.
It takes intention and lots of grace to steer clear of arguments. But the Bible tells us that wise women do their part to resist quarrels. Here are a few tips for “keeping aloof from strife.” We can listen more and speak less. We can add a bit of humor to the situation. We can ask clarifying questions with true curiosity. And sometimes we just need to walk away from the situation, saying something noncombative like, “I need to go check on something. Can I get you a glass of tea while I’m gone?” Ha! Let’s do our part today to keep relationships loving and conversations friendly.
It is an honor for a man to keep aloof from strife,
but every fool will be quarreling. ~ Proverbs 20:3
Kay, thank you for your helpful advice on steering clear of arguments in Blessed for My Day. These are points I will think about the next time I feel like “pouncing”. If I can keep calm through grace then I will be able to think of appropriate questions to ask. I like your idea of graciously leaving the room to check on something and asking if they would like me to get them something. I think that would help to diffuse the argument right there.
Kay, I am new to your site. I used a link on one of your posts to Airydresses and ordered a several items that were poor quality. I returned them, but just wanted you to know. I really enjoy your videos and have been adjusting my clothes from frumpy (I’m 63 and 20 lbs over weight ) to stylish, and having so much fun doing so! And saving money besides!
Hi Pam, Welcome to Dressed for My Day. I’m glad you’re enjoying the content, and thank you for introducing yourself. I’m sorry about the poor quality clothing you bought through my links. I’m curious as to exactly what dresses you’re referring to because I’d like to reevaluate the use of those links. I generally only recommend clothing I’ve tried, but occasionally I do link to alternatives that I have not tried. Could you tell me specifically what store you shopped at and the name of the items? Thanks so much.
