Welcome to Dressed for My Day! Last night I gathered up my Best of Sale from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale in this post. I found some great buys that are still available and oh so fashionable. But looking back over that post I realized that many of my favorites were in the pricey range. And honestly, that’s pretty much how I shop the sale – looking for investment purchases that are on my personal wish list but that I wouldn’t buy at full price. However, today I’ve taken a different tactic and I’ve gathered my Best of Sale items under $100.

I’ve tried to use the same discriminating taste in curating this under $100 list as I did with my Best of Sale list. In fact, many of these items will be well over $100 after the sale ends on August 8. Everyone can shop this sale now, by the way. And it’s a great time to shop for wardrobe basics such as tees and socks, as well as booties, sneakers and jeans. It’s also a great sale to shop for gifts.
Unfortunately my Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star Lift Platform Sneakers above are sold out. But if you’re interested in them, I’d definitely check back in later. They could very well restock these. Meanwhile, grab those Wit & Wisdom Absolution Raw Hem Crop Straight Leg Jeans if they’re still available in your size. They’re some of the best jeans I found in this sale at a GREAT PRICE. The Kendra Scott Muriel Pendant Necklace is no longer available in black, but it’s still in the sale in other stone colors. And while the Treasure & Bond V-Neck Sweater is sold out, you could sub in this Rib Stitch Sweater by Open Edit is very similar and well-priced.
Here are other favorites I’ve found in the under $100 price point. I did try to find items that are true bargains, meaning they are either great quality at a good price or they are basics at a sweet deal.
Thanks so much for stopping in today. You can find my other Nordstrom Anniversary Sale coverage HERE. Head straight to the sale HERE.

Blessed for My Day
When we realize we’ve done something wrong – whether it be against another person or just an offense between us and the Lord – it can be heartbreaking. And there is definitely a time for mourning when we realize our actions have been ungodly or hurtful. But our mourning need only last for a season.
God joyfully receives us when we acknowledge our sin. He is not a harsh and unyielding Lord. Instead, He graciously offers mercy and grace. He gladly restores us to a right relationship with Him and sets our feet on sure ground. We do not have to feel like we are on probation with Him either. He fully brings us into His joy and strengthens us to walk in righteousness.
Then Nehemiah, who was the governor, and Ezra the priest and scribe, and the Levites who taught the people said to all the people, “This day is holy to the Lord your God; do not mourn or weep.” For all the people were weeping when they heard the words of the law. Then he said to them, “Go, eat of the fat, drink of the sweet, and send portions to him who has nothing prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” ~ Nehemiah 8:9-10
Thank you so much for running down through these sale items for us. I had been wanting a leopard print blouse since spring, but the quality of some were less than desirable. So I ordered it right away at the sale price.
I’ve enjoyed your videos also. Do you think you will ever have a printable table of the “head links” information you gave us from a several videos ago? I’m still working on getting that figured out (smiling here).
Thanks for all your helpful and inspiring posts and video (and links).
Your BFMD is so good to remember–I try to humble myself enough to go to someone that I may have offended to ask forgiveness and “clear the air”. It is hard but God has given me grace to do this and has blessed me so much when I’m right with him and with others.
Hi Jane, you’ll find lots of information about body proportions here: http://206.189.207.166/?s=Proportions
You have made great choices with the Nordy sale and have great taste in clothes.
The sizing issue is so individual that there is no one answer. Your referral (the post)was the best solution for your reader and others. I find jeans the most difficult to get a good fit. I tried Lauren jeans recently and it took two returns to get the right size. Also, any “curvy” fit is out for rectangular women like me.
I really liked today’s scripture message. My late husband used to say “give it up to the Lord.”
Thanks so much for sharing Cathy.
You are very welcome. I enjoy reading your advice and ideas on how to look up-to-date and stylish.
