I have to confess, gifts are the last thing I shop for in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. But I do indeed purchase Christmas and birthday gifts in the #NSale every year. They’re just the last things to make it into my cart. So I picked up a few gifts in the sale yesterday and thought I’d share my findings with you.

I generally pick up a few gifts for birthdays because MOST of my family has their birthdays August through November. And I tuck away a few gifts for Christmas, especially for my immediate family. But I also use the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale to purchase a few substantial hostess gifts. I may end up gifting these for other reasons, but these are essentially the kind of gift you’d give to someone who has cared for your garden while you were out of town, invited you into their home for a few nights or cared for your pets.
Well, I can’t announce everything I purchased here because some of the recipients of my gifts read the blog. Ha! But above are a few of my favorites. In fact, I’m going to have a tough time giving these things up.
Except I purchased the winerack last year for myself. And I’ll go ahead and confess that the Barefoot Dreams CozyChic Throw Blanket is indeed for my living room. Hahaha! The Ui Mug & Warmer Set will make the perfect gift for the person in my life who likes his coffee steaming hot. And I have the best intentions to gift that lovely Voluspa Mini Jar Candle Duo to someone. Hmmm.
The Argento Vivo Sterling Silver Hoop Earrings will probably go to one of the young women in my life. I purchased myself a set of white marble coasters in the sale, but they’re gone. However, I think the ebony set of four coasters will make a great hostess gift. You can never have too many coasters!
Here’s a wide variety of gifts for the special people on your list…or YOU!

Blessed for My Day
Some things in life just require keeping on. Know what I mean? We start off with enthusiasm and big goals, but in time zeal is replaced with determination and goals come down a notch or two. But still, if we want to get to the desired end or fruit we must hunker down and press forward.
If God has planted within you a dream, a purpose, a calling or an assignment, don’t give up. Press on. You can know that your labor is not in vain and your perseverance does not go unnoticed by the One who has called you forth. Even if the results seem slow in coming and your energy is waning, hunker down and move forward. May God bless you this day with renewed strength, creativity, insight and perseverance to get the job done.
I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. ~ Philippians 3:14
