Welcome to Dressed for My Day, dear friend. I’m so glad you stopped in for a little style inspiration. Today I’m singing the praises of a small business run by a sweet mom and her young daughters. As a woman who runs her own business, I know how much it means when someone else sings your praises so that you don’t have to toot your own horn quite so loudly for a bit. Ha! And this is one small shop that I can really get behind.

Sadie + Jane sells Christian t-shirts, jewelry and other gifts. Started by mom Pam and her two young daughters, this Alabama-based online shop aims to provide “meaningful jewelry and t-shirts that speak life, bring you joy, and ultimately spark conversations to give you the opportunity to share Jesus along the way!” I’ve noticed from my conversations with Pam and dealing with their business, that these women are practicing smart, savvy business principles while also aiming to make a significant difference in people’s lives. That resonates with me because it echoes how I try to do things here at Dressed for My Day.
I’ve got a big announcement at the end of today’s post. Stay with me!
When I first introduced my readers to Sadie + Jane a couple of weeks ago, you flooded them with orders. Thank you! I know Pam and her daughters appreciated that. But I did, too, because I am so passionate about supporting small, family-owned businesses like theirs. (By the way, the business is named after Pam’s mother, Sadie Jane. Don’t you just love her name?)
That day Sadie + Jane sold out of a lot of their most popular items. But Pam assured me yesterday that they’ve restocked and they’re ready for you. I do hope you’ll give Sadie + Jane a little love if you’re so inclined.
I especially love this Rise & Shine tee for several reasons. First of all the colors are bright and cheerful, while the image of the crowing rooster is just plum fun. And I think that the message of “Rise & Shine” piques people’s interest before they even realize it’s a Christian t-shirt.
Of course, that gives you the opportunity to share with those who are curious what Isaiah 60:1 is all about.
Arise, shine; for your light has come,
Isaiah 60:1
And the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.
This verse is pointing to the glory God will restore on His chosen people, Israel, in the Millennial Kingdom when Christ reigns. And it reminds us that God is still at work, He has a plan and the events of the day are only moving us ever closer to the return of Jesus. But you don’t have to understand all the theological ramifications of this verse to share the difference that Jesus has already made in your own life. Because of Him, you have hope and peace and joy…even when the world is in turmoil. Your Light has come into your life and the glory of the Lord has risen within you. Arise and shine, dear sister!
I’m also wearing a fun beaded wrap bracelet with this and my second outfit. The Romans 15:13 Triple Wrap Bracelet also reminds me that I can have hope and peace and joy as I live in a broken world.
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 15:13
Not only does this fun and interesting bracelet potentially open the doors for spiritual conversations with those who are curious, but it reminds us that we are people of hope. And because of that hope we can live with joy and peace. I need that reminder occasionally, don’t you? I noticed this particular bracelet is currently sold out, but you’ll find lots more scripture jewelry to choose from here, including similar bracelets.
But I have another great t-shirt and outfit to share with you, too. The butterfly tee is a beautiful reminder of the transformative power of Christ in our lives. But it also convicts us to be ever vigilant about not conforming to this world, but being shaped into the image of Christ instead. Wow! That is so challenging but effective.

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
Romans 12:2
You know that I love graphic tees. But, while I comb the online store pages for them pretty often, I rarely find tees that look as intriguingly stylish, modern and elevated while also carrying uplifting and encouraging messages. You can style a graphic tee like these so many ways.
I love wearing mine with casual blazers…
…like this fatigue blazer from Everlane (almost sold out, but still available in some sizes). And of course a graphic tee pairs effortlessly with your favorite jeans. Mine are the Talbots relaxed everyday jeans, but these size 8s were too big for me. I’ve since sized down to a 6 and am much happier with the fit. Talbots is offering $20 off full price pants and jeans.
And you can wear your graphic tee with sneakers or booties. The sneakers keep your look casual and playful, while the boots give you a bit of an edge. My booties are the Eileen Fisher Joss Knit booties I got in the #NSale, but of course they’ve gone back up to full price now. Everlane has a really cool Glove bootie made from 88% Recycled Polyester, 10% Nylon, 2% Elastane, 8% Leather, and it’s about half the price of mine.
In the first outfit I carried my Tory Burch hobo bag, but with this look I carried my new black vegan leather Social Threads messenger bag. I was gifted this bag, but it’s a great price and looks so authentic. You do have to buy the straps separately, but that way you can select the ones you love. Mine is sold out, but they have so many great options here. If you’ve been looking for a smart, modern bag at a good price, Social Threads is definitely worth checking out.

Do you really need another verse today? Ha! Sure! Why not? This week I’ve been reading through Job. That’s some tough reading. But I always love it when I come across Job 26:14. This verse is such a poetic and beautiful reminder that we may think we know God…but we really only experience or see “the fringes of His ways.”
Our God is beyond our imagination and He works in ways we cannot comprehend. And while it sometimes may appear that He is barely showing up in a situation, we can trust that He is fully involved in the affairs of mankind…and in our personal lives. Oooh! I do wish we could have a t-shirt with this verse!
“Behold, these are the fringes of His ways; And how faint a word we hear of Him! But His mighty thunder, who can understand?” ~ Job 26:14
I love love love your wavey hair, Kay. So youthful and beautiful. Peace
I just placed and order from Sadie + Jane. Thank you ❤️
Luv these graphic tees, unfortunately they do not ship to Canada. So SAD.
I am wondering how Sadie+Jane’s sizing works…what size are you wearing? Some shirts are looser than others. I am between a Med. and a Lg. , bigger busted (38 D) but don’t want baggy. What suggestions do you have? (I don’t think they have measurements for their sizes listed) I love their messages too!
Thanks for your great blogs–getting us excited for fall.
Hi Jane. I should have mentioned sizing. I apologize and I’ll fix that soon. I’m wearing mediums in all three shirts I have and I’d say they fit very true to size, very typical sizing. I’m small in the chest but I still think you can go with your usual t-shirt size. Hope that helps. 😊
I love your post today with the graphic tees and Sadie and Jane’s Christian store. I am going to order a Tee Before they run out of my size again. Love the blessed for the day. I really needed it today. Bless you
I am going to order the butterfly tee and the bracelet you are wearing! I also like to support small business owners and knowing they are in my neighboring state of AL, that makes it even better. You look great in both outfits and your hair looks fabulous! Great BFMD!
I do like these tee shirts. I would love to see one with a sparrow and the words “His eye is on the sparrow”. Love the knitted booties. I can’t wait for Winter for two reasons. Grass stops growing and I can wear boots.
I need V neck tees! Can they make them, lowering the graphic?
Happy Friday Kay, I was so sad that the Sadie +Jane tees do not ship to Canada ☹ I was set to order for my niece and I . However, once the border opens I do have items shipped to a package service just over the border. At this time one has to receive a Covid test in the U.S. prior to entering Canada again even if it’s for just 20 minutes. So once that goes back to normal (whatever that means now) I’ll be ordering me some tees 😁. I watched the “interview” with you and Abby, I really enjoyed watching how both of you interacted with each other 🤗 as a mother of 4 daughter’s I’m blessed 😌 my eldest is 45 and my youngest is 29! Many blessings Kay xoxo

Thank you for all the work you put into your blog.
You are my favorite of the ones I follow!
Love Sadie + Jane. I am anxious to order gifts for some of my dearest friends.
Have a restful weekend and enjoy the birthday celebration.
I am unsubscribing because I am not wanting religion but style tips and more and more this is not the case.
Always interested in supporting home based businesses and especially if they benefit Christians and share scripture. Thank you for spotlighting this one. May I suggest when you have your skin cancer surgery you do it where there is a plastic surgeon available? My plastic surgeon works in the same office as a dermatologist a couple days a week and my former dermatologist who performed Mohs was next door to a plastic surgeon. You could walk next door bandaged after the surgery for him to close. Living a beach and boat life for 60+ years in Florida I have much experience with skin cancers.
Love these graphic tees with a message !
Kay , The other day you had on a great lipstick and you talked about it – it was something pink and it is by Estee Lauder. But I can’t find that video would you please post what that was
Also, thanks for all your hard work. But I fear you’re gonna burn out. You post more than any of the others that I follow. And it must be exhausting! I for one would rather see you for a long long time than see you a lot and have you get tired! You’re a blessing !😘
Hi Susie. The lip color is Estée Lauder’s Rebellious Rose. Here’s a link. https://shopstyle.it/l/bxovL I wore it tonight when we went out to dinner. So versatile and goes on beautifully. Thanks so much for your kindness. This is a lot of work. But I enjoy it. And I try to pace myself. I’m thinking about taking an entire week or two off sometime in October. I have to have that Mohs surgery and I have to do a chemo treatment on my nose where o have a precancerous growth. So that may be a good time to just pause for about a week or so. We’ll see. But thank you for caring. I really do appreciate it. 🥰
Thank you for introducing us to Sadie + Jane. I purchased tea towels and a bracelet when you first shared their items. I was pleased with my purchases. I am all about a comfy tee, too! Thanks for all your hard work! Blessings to you!
I had Mohs surgery about a year ago. The area looks great! My dermatologist recommended Stratoderm to reduce scaring. It is wonderful. Also, I applied it to the scar on my knee from knee surgery. I cannot believer the difference it made.
Good luck with the surgery. It’s scary, but just do what the doctor says.
