Happy Monday! I hope you had a good weekend. While we were enjoying our weekends Sephora, one of my favorite sources for all things beauty, began their Spring Savings Event. It’s a tiered sale, favoring those who shop Sephora most frequently, but even those of us who shop Sephora only occasionally can get significant savings on some of our favorite beauty brands. So today I’m sharing my beauty favorites in the Sephora spring sale.
This post contains affiliate links. When you shop through my links I potentially earn a commission on your purchases, but at no additional cost to you. Thank you so much for supporting my work here by shopping my links.
Here’s how the Sephora Savings Event works. You’ll need to be a Sephora Beauty Insider to participate. But it’s free to sign up and the benefits are good, especially if you make Sephora your one-stop shop for all things beauty. Right now only Rouge members can receive 20% off their purchase, but tomorrow (4/5/22) VIB members can begin saving 15% off and later on Thursday (4/7/22) Insiders (like myself) can save 10% on their favorite brands. You’ll need to use code SAVESPRING when it’s your time to shop the sale.
However, right now through the end of the sale on Monday, April 11, EVERYONE can save 30% off all Sephora Collection.
It’s smart to shop the Sephora Collection right now for things like makeup brushes and tools, bath and body products and skincare. Especially if you like trying new products, 30% off will come in handy.
But first I’d like to share with you some of my favorite beauty products that are included in the savings.
These are all products that are in my cosmetics drawer or on my dresser right now, and I use them frequently, if not daily. In fact, many of these I’ve been loving for years. I’ll share a few of the highlights, but if you have any questions about any of the products I don’t elaborate on, be sure to ask. And you can always find these and more of my beauty favorites in a few recent posts. I’ll share those at the end of this post.
Tarte babassou foundcealer foundation
I enjoy several Tarte products, but most significantly I’m loving the Tarte babassou foundcealer foundation these days. It’s the only foundation I’ve worn for sometime now.
The Tarte babassou foundcealer foundation provides full coverage but looks light and dewy and smooth. I find it works into my skin nicely, but doesn’t disappear with wear. It doesn’t settle into my pores or cake up with wear either. It goes on nicely with my fingertips or a brush. And I always blend it with a Beautyblender Original Makeup Sponge.
Beautyblender Original Makeup Sponge
When I started using the Beautyblender Original Makeup Sponge they were only available at Sephora. I swear by the Beautyblender Original. I’ve tried other brands that have copied the technology, but I don’t feel like you get the same results.
To use the Beautyblender Original Makeup Sponge, thoroughly wet it with fresh, clean water. Then “wring it out” gently. Then dry it in a towel. You want the Beautyblender damp but not wet when you use it. Then you just “bounce” the Beautyblender over your foundation, making sure to blend at the edges of your hairline, around your nose and other crevices and along your chin and ears. It makes your makeup look so much more “set” and polished.
Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Complex
I’ve been using both the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum and the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Complex for several months now. And I love both of these products. But I’ve been most amazed at the results I’m getting with the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Complex.
I feel like the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Complex has truly made the skin around my eyes smoother and brighter. I’ve noticed a significant reduction in fine lines and a more even skin tone under my eyes.
Lancome Cils Booster Mascara Primer
I have always had small, scant and short eye lashes. Ugh. So I do everything I can to keep them healthy. I swear by the results I get with the Lancome Cils Booster Mascara Primer. I feel like it ultimately helps my mascara come off easier when I’m removing my makeup. That’s important since I try to be gentle with my few lashes!
But most importantly, I guess, the Lancome Cils Booster Mascara Primer helps my mascara go on more smoothly without clumping. And I do think it helps create the appearance of longer lashes, too. I don’t ever skip this step!
Lancome Dèfinicils High Definition Lengthening Mascara
I’ve been wearing the Lancome Cils Booster Mascara Primer coupled with the Lancome Dèfinicils High Definition Lengthening Mascara for more years than I can remember. I try others and wear them for a while, but I always return to the Lancome Dèfinicils High Definition Lengthening Mascara. It goes on nice and “thin,” which is what I prefer for my small lashes. Other mascaras just create clumpy spider leg lashes on me. So I really appreciate the “wetness” of this particular mascara.
The rest of my makeup bag…
I don’t seem to have photos at the handy for rest of the items I’ve shared in my graphic, but really these are the products I’m using today and every day, at least for now. I love, love, love the soft natural results I get with the Tartelette™ Amazonian Clay Matte Eyeshadow Palette. And the Urban Decay Anti-Aging Eyeshadow Primer Potion is proving to be a great primer for that shadow and the few others I’m currently using.
I’ve been wearing and loving Lancome La Vie Est Belle for years. I get compliments on it every time I wear it. But I recently received a sample of the Tory Burch Signature Eau de Parfum in the mail and used it. Oh my! I was instantly in love. So I purchased some recently and wore it for the first time yesterday. It’s delightfully fresh, perfect for spring and summer. All Sephora has right now is the Tory Burch Signature Eau de Parfum roller ball. But that’s a nice product size to try the scent out with.

Blessed for My Day
Forgiven. That’s such a beautiful word, isn’t it? Have you ever gone through a difficult season with someone you loved deeply but had in some way offended or hurt? The feelings of isolation and regret and tension are almost overbearing. You try and try to make amends, you apologize from the depths of your heart and you wish to goodness you could go back and do things differently. But as sincere as your apologies and acts of remorse are, you just can’t get back to where you were before the offense. That’s a tough place to be.
But as much as you or I have surely offended people we love, that doesn’t even begin to compare to how much we have grieved our Creator by willingly defying Him, ignoring Him and living separately from Him. So when we grasp the depths and graciousness of the forgiveness He has given us through the blood of Jesus Christ – His own Son – we must fall to our knees in awe and gratitude. You’ve been restored. All is well. This is truly amazing grace.
In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace. ~ Ephesians 1:7
Great BFMD. I buy my cosmetics through Ulta. I do not think we have a Sephora store around here. They seem similar in products though. Could they be affliated with each other? Have a blessed day.
Hi Sherry, I’m glad you enjoyed the BFMD. No, Sephora and Ulta are competitors. They’re both great sources for cosmetics.
I have used the Lancôme primer and mascara for years, on the advice of my ophthalmologist. He recommends anyone using eye makeup to buy the highest quality one can afford, as the difference in ingredients (and manufacturing standards too, apparently) is substantial. And who would want to risk their eyesight for any reason? I also use and like the Estée Lauder products. Again, a premium brand, but sooooo worth it.
Thanks so much for sharing, Elizabeth. I really love that mascara and primer. It’s good to know you eye doctor recommends it.
Hi Kay, Have you done a post on what products you use with SPF? You have beautiful fair skin… I currently suffer with melasma so I am always on the lookout for high SPF products that work well. Thanks in advance
Hi Tammy. Yes I shared my daytime skincare regimen a few weeks ago and includes my sunscreen. The post is here https://bit.ly/3x7hvWv and my sunscreen is here https://shopstyle.it/l/bFPAS
Thank you so much. I must have missed that one!
Their system is confusing because they give a total “discount” without specifying what exactly is being discounted and by how much. They automatically note that I’m a VIB member, but because of that prohibit me from entering “Springsave”, so I’m not really sure if I’m getting the best discount and/or 30% discount on Collection Products as well. Agh, don’t make me do math. Guess I’ll call them tomorrow….
