Welcome to Dressed for My Day! One of the things I’ve learned with time and interaction is that you gals, like me, want to be able to mix and match the pieces in your wardrobe. Because you’re smart, savvy women, you want a wardrobe that really works for you. And that leads me to today’s style tips. I’m sharing 4 ways to style that pink linen blazer that so many of you purchased.

4 Ways to Style a Pink Linen Blazer

I truly think this pink linen blazer is one of my smartest purchases since I began writing this blog over a year ago. And I just happened upon it at Target one day! I’m so glad I did.

But no sooner had I purchased the pretty pink blazer than I realized I was at an impasse as far as styling it. I’d certainly never owned a pink linen blazer before. So I did a little research, scoured the more savvy fashion blogs and found some ideas. Sure enough, as I began trying things out, I realized this little jacket is actually a cinch to style.

I’ve kept these four styles very basic. So basic, in fact, that I used the same striped t-shirt in all four looks. You could swap out so many tees for this one – solid white, navy & white striped, black, graphic or novelty! Oh, and just recently I bought this snake print tee that I plan to wear with it! This v-neck tee would actually look perfect in every combo I’m about to show you.

#1 – Pink Linen Blazer + White Jeans

white tee w/grey stripes (wearing medium) // blush pink linen blazer (wearing 8, TTS) // white jeans (wearing curvy fit, size 6, TTS) // Alice pink leather sandals (wearing 9.5, TTS) // small rose studded leather camera bag // palm pendant necklace // chloe mini necklace

For a casual look that’s leveled up just a tad, you can pair your favorite white jeans with this pink blazer. That snake print tee I mentioned earlier would look great here, too, but this simple tee keeps the outfit basic but oh so pretty.

My soft pink sandals and small camera bag add delightful feminine touches. At first I worried about wearing too much pink or too many pink pieces in one ensemble. But as I looked through images on the Internet I realized that this whisper soft pastel has such a light touch that it’s really hard to overdo it.

Styling tip: Don’t be afraid to add other pink elements to your outfit. It’s hard to overdo this whisper soft pastel shade.

#2 – Pink Linen Blazer + Black Slacks

I look at one of these looks and think, “That’s my favorite!” only to look at the next one and think the same thing! But I really do love the contrast between the pale pink jacket and these black slacks.

Black and pink is just a classic combination. So Audrey Hepburn, don’t you think? And everything I’m wearing is as comfortable as it is sharp. My black wonderstretch pants are an investment, but a worthy one. I wear these at least once a month to church if not more often.

Styling tip: Pairing your pink blazer, denim jacket or cardi with black pants is a cinch. Be sure to add some bold black splashes elsewhere in the outfit: in the shoes, jewelry, handbag or a scarf.

#3 – Pink Linen Blazer + White Slacks

You may have seen this ensemble in this previous post. But it’s definitely worth a second glance. The key to this dressy look is keeping the colors soft and sophisticated.

I wore nude heels with these comfortable but sharp white pants to elongate the leg and keep the vibe soft and chic. Of course, you could also wear white heels. By the way, I’m considering purchasing these nude heels.

I’m wearing the curvy fit in the pants as I usually do in white pants or jeans. Gals, we just don’t want our white pants clinging to us!

Styling tip: When pairing your pink blazer with white dress slacks, keep the look oh so chic by adding neutral or additional soft pink accessories.

#4 – Pink Linen Blazer + Blue Skinny Jeans

Yeah, I think this is my favorite look.

4 Ways to Style a Pink Linen Blazer

First of all, I love these jeans. Someone asked me the other day about which jeans I really enjoyed the most and felt the best in. I hated to have to tell her that these AG jeans truly are my favorites. Yes, they’re pricey. But they’re significantly more comfortable than all my other jeans. (There’s only one size available right now, but these are comparable.) By the way, I’m wearing a size 30. I might could wear my usual 29, but decided to size up for even more comfort. (Ha! Maybe that’s why they’re so comfy!!)

I could just as easily wear this jeans/blazer combo with casual shoes, such as the sandals above or even sneakers. But I chose to level up with my snakeskin pumps. These are several years old, but, hey!!! They’re back in style in a big way. Snakeskin is definitely trending. I think these with hints of pink are a beautiful option. Then again, these are marked way down, and they’re beautiful.

Style tip: You can wear your dark wash skinny jeans with just about everything. When pairing them with your pink blazer, intentionally level up with heels or go decidedly more casual with flat sandals or even sneakers.

Style tip: Snakeskin is trending big time. And it’s the perfect companion to soft pink. Check out the snakeskin looks at White House||Black Market for some beautiful tops and accessories to pair with your pink blazer, jacket or cardi.

So there you have it. Four ways to style your pink blazer. But you can use these same tips to style a pink denim jacket or pink cardi.

Which is your favorite? Do you have any questions about any of the looks? Or maybe you have other recommendations for how to wear a pink linen blazer. I’d love to hear from you today.

Blessed for My Day

When we pray for other people, what do we pray. I generally pray something along the lines of, “Lord, help them!” But while we certainly want God to ease pain, provide a way where there seems to be no way and encourage our loved ones, there are better prayers we can pray. Look, He knows what is best for the person; we don’t. So we can trust He is taking care of things.

The better prayer we can pray is for our friend or family member to gain wisdom as they walk through the path God has them on. We can pray that they gain discernment and understanding so they make wise decisions and think clearly. We can pray that they have the biblical knowledge they need so as to line their behavior up with righteousness and holiness. Let’s pray bigger prayers for those we love today.

We are asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. ~ Colossians 1:9b

    1. Thanks Michelle. I’m just sharing the scriptures we’re going through in church right now. Such powerful verses in Colossians! Love you too!! ?

  1. This is a post that I will use. You look wonderful in all 4 but the Jean one is a favorite. Going shopping today, have added a pink blazer to the list!

  2. Kay, you look so nice in all of these outfits. The soft pink color is very flattering. I prefer for my whole house to be clean before we leave on a trip, but in reality that isn’t always the case. I definitely don’t leave dirty dishes in the dishwasher if we are going to be gone more than one night. Have a blessed day!

    1. Hi Ginger. Yes, I rarely get as much done as I intended toward leaving a clean house. But I definitely try. It’s always so much nicer coming home to a clean house. Thanks for sharing ?

  3. Yes, my house has to be clean…….even down to cleaning refrigerator ! We are leaving for Hilton Head next week and I noticed this morning my refrigerator is a little messy. I want to get that done before I leave!

  4. Love this pink blazer! I purchased one from Target on your recommendation, but am waiting to start wearing it until Easter. You have encouraged me with this post to just wear it. My blazer arrived very, very wrinkled. Any tips on how to keep it looking crisp? You don’t seem to have any wrinkles in your photos. Thanks!

    1. How exciting! You can iron it, but if you have a steamer, I’d also steam it. I bought mine at the store, but I’m sure it had just been steamed. And then I think I steamed it when I got home. But I’ve worn it several times and have not steamed it in between. So I think once you get the wrinkles out, they’ll stay at a minimum. I’m excited to hear how you wear it!!

  5. I love all of these looks, Kay, but especially with the white jeans and the blue jeans. I think I’m going to have to order the blazer and the striped T! Pink is one of my favorites colors.

  6. Hi Kay, I think you are doing a GREAT job with your blogging, I enjoy both the fashion and the faith inspiration.
I love the blue Jean option the best. I’m wondering are you blonde or gray, in pictures it looks more blonde. I have a fair amount of gray mainly only in the front, so I highlight my brown/grays with blonde, less noticeable. I’m definitely not ready to be natural gray, maybe never! Lol ?

    1. Hahaha! I feel like I should say something like, “a lady never tells!” But honestly I don’t know what I am. I have no idea how other people see my hair but to me it looks like a mix. I have a lot of grey. But my hairdresser did put an ash blonde rinse on it. But that’s been at least a couple of months now. So I guess it’s fair to say it’s a mix. My hair is naturally blonde, if that’s what you’re asking. But I’m old and it’s had some treatment. Lol!! ??‍♀️

      1. I should of mentioned I think you hair is absolutely beautiful, is why I was inquiring. ?
You also looked beautiful when your hair was a bit shorter with a long bob you had with a blue blouse!
Spring blessings to you and your family, Kim ?

  7. I love pink with everything!! My favorite is the pink and black combo, it’s so classy. I would wear that for work. Your beauty for the heart was very relevant for me today. I have a few people i am praying for. Hope you enjoy your trip?

    1. Thanks Deb. I think you’re the first person to choose the pink and black combo as a favorite. But I really like it too. I actually wore that to church a couple of weeks ago. ?
