Happy Saturday gals! I hope you have some plans for a special Easter this weekend. James and I are going hiking today, and of course we have a special day at church tomorrow. I’ll be taking off from working on the blog for the rest of the weekend, so I won’t be posting on Monday. But today I thought it might be time for another How I Really Dressed for My Day.
These photos are a little random. I didn’t remember to take a picture absolutely every day, but I have enough to make a post and there are some interesting outfits in here. So let’s get started.
How I Really Dressed for My Day – working from home & errands
For a very casual day of working from my home office and then running to the mall, I wore my girlfriend jeans with this pink v-neck t-shirt. I slipped on my leopard print flats when I went out to the mall.
How I Really Dressed for My Day – working from home and lunch out
Because I knew I was going out to lunch with a friend, I just wore my skinny jeans and white t-shirt while writing. Then I slipped on my pink linen jacket and gold flats to go out to lunch.
How I Really Dressed for My Day Night – Pajamas
Since I did turn around and buy the pajamas I had sent back in my Trunk Club trunk, I thought I’d share those, too.
They no longer had the brown variety of these J. Crew pjs in my size, so I got the white ones instead. I’m wearing a medium. And these are still in stock and marked down 50%. But the sale’s almost over!
How I Really Dressed for My Day – working out
I purchased these workout clothes in my last Trunk Club trunk, and I enjoyed wearing them a couple of times this week.
I’m wearing an 8 in the flyout tank and a medium in the leggings, so I’d say both run TTS. I didn’t actually buy those Nike running shoes…but I would have loved to! Both the tank and the leggings are extremely comfortable.
How I Really Dressed for My Day – Church on Sunday
I featured this dress in Wednesday’s post, but I also actually wore it to church a couple of weeks ago. (I didn’t make it to church this past week because I was sick.)
I’m wearing a medium in the dress, but might could have gone with the small. So I think it’s true to size. The sandals are definitely true to size and very comfortable for heels. I have a medium Levi’s jacket.
How I Really Dressed for My Day – out shopping and to lunch
One day I pulled this floral pullover blouse out of my closet and paired it with my button fly cropped jeans. I thought it looked pretty with my gold sandals and gold jewelry. I carried my large leather tote when I went to the mall that day.
How I Really Dressed for My Day – working from home
I find myself pulling this red and white slub tee from my closet quite often. It’s comfortable and fashionable. Stripes are always in! And I love the bright red and white. I think pairing it with these button fly jeans and Keds is classic.
How I Really Dressed for My Day – coffee with a friend
Evidently I’ve been wearing these cropped jeans a lot and I’ve been pulling my hair up in pony tails a lot. Ha! But with an ample amount of stretch, these jeans are just really comfy. And I think the button fly makes them look a little more contemporary and youthful.
I wore the embroidered popover I shared in Friday’s post and finished off the outfit with my silver sandals. If you like the silver sandals (and they’re definitely still trending) check out these.
How I Really Dressed for My Day – working from home and breakfast out
This photo was actually taken a while back in Florida, but I wore this same outfit this past week – and several other times! – because it’s a clear favorite. These pink chinos are marked down considerably right now, and still fully stocked. They’re comfy, soft and really such a nice pink.
Finally, I think I mentioned in this post that I actually wore this outfit to a recent girls’ night out. I’ve worn these jeans several times since then, too. They are so very comfortable and such a pale pink. Also, my blazer, which I’ve shown so many times here styled various way, has been completely restocked. I highly recommend it, and it runs true to size.
Well that’s a wrap! I’ve prepared a shopping widget, but I couldn’t get all the items to cooperate and show up in it. Ah, technical difficulties! So you can also use the affiliate links in the text and captions above. Happy shopping! Let me know if you have any questions.

Blessed for My Day
This weekend may our hope be renewed. Sometimes bad news and hard days compound and cause us to lose steam. Some days we feel like we’re holding on by a thread. And we wonder if God even notices.
As we celebrate Easter – Jesus’ victory over sin and death – let’s choose to remember that we are a people with a hope and a firm foundation. We can face tomorrow because He lives. All fear is gone because He holds the future.
“O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law; but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. ~ 1 Corinthians 15:55-57
Happy Easter Kay! I absolutely love this post! You looked like perfection in every outfit. I have those exact sandals and will copy your ideas for wearing them. Now I understand why you bought the pink jacket. I can still get one at my Target. T Shirts and Jeans really will Make My Day with a new meaning! Thank you for all these ideas.
Thanks so much Aimee. Yes, the pink blazer is definitely a worthy investment…and at a sweet price. ?
Kay, I like all of the outfits you put together. And I really like seeing that, you too, wear an item numerous times in a given week. Happy Easter to you and your family!
Hi Ginger. Yes, I tend to “wear the stew out of” things and then give them a rest. Ha! Have a great weekend. ?
Happy Easter Kay. I’ll be celebrating with most of my family. First church then egg hunt and dinner. Just hope the weather is good since we are not exactly warm yet. I absolutely love the floral pullover blouse and button fly jeans. That is so my style! You look so young in that picture.
Thanks Deb. That’s a shirt I picked up at Marshall’s last year. I think they often have such great finds! I hope you and your family have a lovely, pretty day tomorrow! ??
