Hello, and welcome to Dressed for My Day. I’m so glad you stopped in for a little fashion inspiration today. Let’s see if I can deliver with this darling and oh so chic halter neck gingham jumpsuit. And even if you’re not a fan of jumpsuits (I get it!), you might enjoy seeing how I’ve accessorized this classic gingham outfit.
I’m just beginning to really jump feet first into the jumpsuit trend myself. Which, by the way, is exactly how you put most jumpsuits on. Hahaha! And therein lies the rub for many gals. They’re a little tricky to get in and out of…especially during an essential daily ritual. Ahem.
And I won’t lie. This particular jumpsuit, charming as it is, is not really easy to get in and out of. So if that’s a factor for you, do not buy it. On the other hand, if you’ve seen other women wearing this charming piece of apparel and decided to give it a try…this might be the one. It’s a cutie pie. Don’t you think?
I love the feminine silhouette achieved with a flare leg, halter neck jumpsuit like this one. And this one is extremely comfortable.
At the time I ordered this gingham jumpsuit, they were low in inventory and didn’t have my usual 8, so I stubbornly ordered the 10. And it works. However, I also ordered this one, by the same brand, in an 8 and it fits a little better on me. So I’d say they run true to size or a tad snug.
By the way, this navy gingham halter neck jumpsuit is an extremely dark navy and really could pass for black.
I love the clean, feminine lines of this navy gingham jumpsuit so I decided not to wear a necklace. A short one would interfere with the neckline and a long one would detract from the simple but feminine bow. So I just added colorful earrings and an enamel bracelet in the same shade.
My pink earrings are sold out, but they’re still available in white. And these thread-wrapped sphere earrings in navy and magenta would work even better.
To add another punch of the pink from my jewelry, I wore my pink strappy sandals (similar). These sandals are no fewer than eight years old and they’re not an exactly match. But you can see that they work beautifully, so don’t fear when your accessories don’t exactly match in color, especially if they’re far apart like earrings and shoes.
This white wicker and leather shoulder bag continues to serve me so well. It’s also available in a navy and ivory variation that would work beautifully here, too. But if you want to add another punch of pink, I think this pink wicker shoulder bag is so fun.
Finally, I wore my pale pink sunnies to keep my look fresh and summery. I’ve learned that pretty sunglasses truly are an important accessory that can elevate your look significantly. These were not cheap, but if you’re interested, “favorite them” in the shopping widget below (click on the heart) and watch for them to go on sale eventually.

FASTer Way to Fat Loss Update
I love sharing my experience with the FASTer Way to Fat Loss with my readers because this program has proven to be a sustainable, workable lifestyle shift for me. I’ve lost and kept off 20 pounds for over two years now using the precepts in the FWTFL. If you need to lose a lot of weight or a few pounds, if you need to go the extra mile or get off the couch, if you’d like to tone up or get well, you are worth the cost and the effort.
You can learn more about my experience with the FWTFL in this post. Or you can check out their website and register for this effective program here. Finally, if you’ve already finished a round or are in the intro program, you can sign up for the monthly FWTFL membership program here.
Blessed for My Day
Did you know that it is quite okay to say, “No?” Yep, a lot of us gals struggle with drawing lines, setting boundaries and simply speaking up on behalf of ourselves. But sister, you’re doing no one a favor when you agree to do things that you’re not truly comfortable with or don’t have time for. You get to prayerfully and wisely decide what is truly best for you, and you have the right to establish boundaries that keep you healthier for the relationships that are important to you…and important to God.
If you struggle with turning down invitations, declining “opportunities” that are presented to you and staying true to God’s purposes for you, I encourage you to practice verbalizing a form of “no” that best suits you. While “no” may be a complete sentence and sometimes is totally appropriate, I do think we can usually be a little more gracious (depending on the situation) with something like, “Thank you, but no. I won’t be able to do that.”
“Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.” ~ Galatians 1:10
Really cute jumpsuit, I love the pop of pink! I’ve tried on a few and they are not for me. The struggle was real in the dressing room, couldn’t imagine it in the bathroom ?
Hahaha! I hear ya! This one even has some fairly tricky loop buttons at the top. It’s certainly not for anyone who ever has to hurry. Thanks for reading, Teri. ?
Kay, I love the way you accessorized this outfit and the style of the jumpsuit is feminine and mature! I have not gotten on the jumpsuit wagon yet, but the Caslon one you showed has spiked my interest. When y’all go hiking, don’t you have to be on the lookout for snakes? It’s still extremely hot and humid here and will be the rest of the week. Have a blessed day!
Hi Ginger! Thanks for reading. Yes I meant to mention the Caslon option in the post and forgot. It’s a great option that’s a little less fussy and more casual.
We do indeed have to watch for snakes, but in 14 years of hiking here I think I’ve only seen one. I’ve also seen a bear, a bobcat and some javelinas, which are wild pigs of sorts. Oh, and we’ve come across illegal immigrants and drug smugglers with machine guns. ?
Unfortunately, the Caslon jumpsuit is only available in a small. Yikes! I’d be more concerned with seeing illegal immigrants with machine guns than snakes. Praying y’all stay safe when hiking!
Kay,
I LOVED that jumpsuit and really enjoy your blog! I would love to own that one or the one from J Crew which I have had my eye on for some time, However, I am concerned about what type of bra to wear under the jumpsuit? I would assume that you can’t wear a regular bra without the straps showing.
Sorry if this post is not too personal! 🙂
Thank you,
Lisa Stanard
Hi Lisa, Not too personal at all. I actually wore a strapless bra with it. But you could probably also wear a racerback bra for more support and “normalcy.” You’ll find some here if you need one: https://shopstyle.it/l/3WQC Hope that helps!
I love a good jumpsuit! The gingham print is so cute and I love how you styled it!
