Happy Weekend, gals! I’ve been busy getting things in order on my blog because I potentially have jury duty this next week. I want to post plenty of interesting content for everyone, but the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Early Access Days are fast approaching (Friday, July 12th!). And even if you don’t shop Nordstrom or their annual pre-fall sale, this is a great time to begin looking ahead to the fall fashion forecast. So today I’m introducing the Shop My #NSale 2019 Favorites Page.
My goal in sharing the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is not to twist your arm to participate. I really just want to provide fast, fashion forward and accurate coverage for those of you who already do…or who would like to. And I know many of my readers do shop Nordstrom for the free shipping if nothing else. If you’re like me and live hours away from most stores, Nordstrom’s free shipping and free returns make shopping smart so much easier.
But honestly, I spent Friday looking through all the listings…for hours and hours…and there are some tremendous deals to be had. And we won’t see many of these items reduced in price again until next year. In fact, historically, many of these items sell out and sell out quickly!
What I’m Recommending in the #NSale
In the #NSale 2019 you’ll find many of the same types of items you’ve seen before. We’re seeing lots of animal print, including leopard, snake and crocodile. There’s also even more plaid (if that’s possible) this year than last. And the colors are richer, deeper and more jewel toned.
On my Shop My #NSale 2019 Favorites Page, I’ve collected the items I can heartily recommend to you because I’ve tried or worn those particular brands. I’m not venturing into any unknown territory here. You can go to other style bloggers or resources for many of the higher end items. But in the last year I’ve become very familiar with brands such as BP, Caslon, Treasure & Bond, Halogen, Sam Edelman, Vince Camuto, Tory Burch, Kate Spade, 1901, Gorjana and more. So these are the brands I’ll be recommending.
Finally, I’m only recommending fashions and accessories that I feel will help you build a working wardrobe for a modern classic style. I know not all of you adhere to a classic style. I certainly hope not! We’re all different and unique. But no matter what style essence you are – classic, elegant, romantic, natural, rebellious or dramatic – you still probably need classic pieces upon which to build a working wardrobe. So I can point those out to you in this sale.
Start Browsing Now!
So I encourage you to begin browsing my partially completed #NSale Shopping Guide this weekend. It’s not finished! But I at least have my picks for sweaters, coats & jackets and all the shoes. I’ll be adding more this weekend.
Monday I’ll be sharing a fun guide for “How to Shop the #NSale & Build a Wardrobe that Works for You.” This post will be a continuation of our 2019 style series, Building a Wardrobe that Works for You. My goal is to help you shop this sale…or any other pre-season sale…in a way that really contributes to a cost-efficient, effective and beautiful wardrobe that you can easily work with.
I hope you’ll join me for that post even if you’re not shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale because I’ll have tips for preparing for the fall that will benefit us all.
Thanks so much for stopping in today. I had really hoped to have a “How I Really Dressed for My Day” post up, but that just didn’t happen. So I will post it Tuesday! And I’ll have even more daily outfits to share with you that way. Have a wonderful weekend, gals! You can check out my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2019 picks (so far!) here.
Blessed for My Day
I’ve heard it said that to be loved but not fully known is one of the greatest disappointments of life. And to be fully known but not loved is one of our greatest fears. That’s why to be fully known and fully loved is definitely one of our greatest longings. For if someone fully knows us and still fully loves us, we are blessed indeed.
The good news is that there is indeed One who knows you fully and loves you beyond imagination. In fact, He is the only one who fully knows you. And still He loves you enough to send His only Son to die for you so that He might have a deep and intimate and eternal relationship with you. Do not fear. You are fully known and fully loved.
O Lord, you have searched me and known me!
You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from afar.
You search out my path and my lying down
and are acquainted with all my ways.
Even before a word is on my tongue,
behold, O Lord, you know it altogether.
You hem me in, behind and before,
and lay your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
it is high; I cannot attain it. ~ Psalm 139:1-6
Hi Kay, why do some of the items in your N’strum guide already appear sold out?
As far as coats for Cincinnati, I tend to wear a lighter weight winter coat most of the winter. It usually is in the 30’s to 40’s most of the winter, I do have a really warm coat for those days when it does dip lower. Usually January and February are the coldest months. What I hate most about the winter, isn’t the cold temperatures but the gray skies. Bring some sun with you!! ? Welcome to Cincinnati!
Hello Kathy. I think that is just a dysfunction of the widget. None of the items are actually available yet, so they’re certainly not sold out. ? Thanks for the tips about the coats. And I’ve been warned by several readers about the grey winter skies. I’ll certainly miss all the sunny days we have here! ?
In looking at the Nordstrom guide, the price under the pictures in the widget, is that the price that the pieces will be during the sale or will they be an additional amount off during the sale? One of the plaid coats I thought was so pretty but they don’t tell you yet what color it is. Looks like a light purple and blue or black plaid. I’m sure since I’m not a big on-line shopper, I will probably miss out on something that I see because I’ll be too late….LOL Have a great day!
Hi Sandi. Yeah right now you’re seeing about half the listing really. Each of the items are available in myriad colors and patterns which are not showing. Don’t trust the price on the widget. Usually at the listing you’ll see both the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale price and the price it will be after the sale…if it doesn’t sell out.
