The Perfect Fall T-Shirt + Corduroy Blazer

Hi gals! This week is flying by. In fact, the month is going by so very fast. My son’s wedding is in less than two weeks, and when you have a date like that on the calendar, time seems to drag…and then suddenly fly by! Know what I mean? So soon both Halloween and then Thanksgiving will be upon us. That’s why I wanted to go ahead and show you the perfect fall t-shirt…for all the autumn festivities.

Fall T-shirt
Pumpkin t-shirt (similar, similar) // corduroy modern blazer // sculpting pockets skinny jeans in classic wash // tan suede penny loafers // circle buckle hip belt // gold hoop earrings (similar)

This is actually the outfit I wore on our way to the couples’ retreat in Indiana last weekend. It was comfortable and warm for the roadtrip up to the camp and perfect for our evening activities.

Perfect Fall T-Shirt

I bought this perfect fall t-shirt on Jane.com a few weeks ago, and I just love it. Jane.com has daily specials featuring everything you can imagine, but I always love their novelty t-shirt offerings. I’m including a number of fall and even some Christmas options in the shopping widget below. Some of them are reduced in price today.

corduroy blazer

You can get this exact pumpkin on your shirt through this vendor at Jane, but I also like this pumpkin option and this one. They’d be perfect for any Halloween or Thanksgiving festivities, plus everything in between. But check shipping dates. I noticed some take a while to get out.

skinny jeans

My dark wash skinny jeans are from Ann Taylor. I find that AT consistently has well made jeans that fit me well. I’m wearing my usual size 6. While I think this tee would have looked wonderful with lighter wash jeans, too, I think every gal needs a pair of dark wash jeans in her closet. They just instantly dress a look up.

red blazer

You’ve seen this royal ruby corduroy blazer before (here). I told you, I’m going to wear this thing out! So far I’ve mostly worn it with t-shirts, but I have other plans for it, too. This jacket is marked down significantly right now and still fully stocked. I’m wearing a 6 comfortably, so size down.

suede penny loafers

I’m also frequently wearing my tan suede penny loafers. These Sperry flats feature a memory foam footbed for ultimate comfort and are supported by a hidden EVA midsole. And I love the tiny gold studs along the welt of the shoe. The loafers are also available in wine red, navy blue and grey.

Fall T-shirt with jeans and corduroy jacket

This entire look would be perfect for working a Halloween or fall festival carnival, visiting a craft fair or traipsing through antique stores. But I very well may wear this combo for Thanksgiving, too.

Be sure to check the shopping widget below for the complete look as well as a few other t-shirt offerings at Jane.com. Let me know if you have any questions about sizes. My t-shirt is a small, but that particular vendor is no longer offering it so that information is kinda pointless. Just use the sizing chart with any shirt you select.

Aren’t these photos pretty? A million thanks to my sweet hubby for all the work he does on this blog. He’s such a trooper, and I’m so very grateful!

Blessed for My Day

Think about the last time you were in crisis mode. Maybe it was yesterday. Maybe it was a month ago. Where did you run? To whom did you turn? Did you run to the Lord first…or as a last resort?

We can prepare for the next crisis by daily meditating on the name of the Lord our God. Do you know His name? His character? He is the Lord who provides, the Lord who heals, the Lord who saves and the Lord who hears. We can trust in His character. As we build our trust in His character we will become more likely to run to Him first…instead of fifteenth.

Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. ~ Psalm 20:7

xoxo, Kay

  1. Your skin is so beautiful. You are always glowing. I’m in search of a new foundation. Would you please share what you use? Have a wonderful day!

    1. Hi Liz. That’s so kind. Thank you. I use It Cosmetics CC+ Cream with SPF 50+ in fair light: https://shopstyle.it/l/9ctq
But you also might want to check out my Beauty Week posts from this past February. In that series I shared all my skincare and makeup products and practices. I don’t think I’ve changed very much since then, but maybe one or two things. So feel free to ask me about particular products if you wish. You can always find my Beauty Week posts under the Beauty tab at the top of the website, but it’s right here: http://206.189.207.166/category/beauty/beauty-week/
      Have a lovely day!

      1. Thanks for your response. That is the foundation I’m trying right now!! I have always been a “skin freak” so I will gladly take a look at your post. I’m currently following a skin care routine recommended by Angie from Hot and Flashy….she is a good beauty product reference! I always enjoy your posts, Kay!

    1. Hi Bev! Thanks. I liked the little bit of red in the shirt, too. Actually, I think that was one of my reasons for picking it. Thanks for reading!

    1. Hi Nancy. I think mine runs a bit small and I wish I had ordered the medium. But mine came from a different vendor. The vendor I linked to says, “For a loose fit we recommend you order your regular size. For a fitted look please size down.” I think that’s the same thing my vendor said, so I went with the small. But I wish I had the medium. So I’d go with your higher normal size.

  2. Love the shirt! I was looking at a few on Jane and couldn’t find a size chart, so am hesitant to order. I agree with the reader about your skin-please share your skincare sometime!

    1. Hi Beth. I’ve found that each vendor has their own size chart. Often they’re located in the pictures as a graphic. You might try there. The one I got ran a little small, so I’d say when in doubt size up. Unless it says the shirt is a tissue tee. But I don’t think any of the ones I featured are. My best is they all run pretty true to size or a tad small. For more info on my skincare and makeup, check out the posts in this past February’s Beauty Week (also listed in the top menu under Beauty): http://206.189.207.166/category/beauty/beauty-week/ I don’t think I’ve changed much, but feel free to ask about specific products if you have questions. Thanks for asking!

  3. Great outfit Kay! Those jeans do fit you really well! And those loafers are beautiful. My very skinny heels and slip on shoes don’t work well together. I really like the BFMD! I can honestly say that when I am in crisis mode, I immediately start praying and reaching out to God. I know that He can help me the most and He’s right there with me every step of the way, even if I haven’t been all that He expects me to be. Congratulations on getting the tech issues resolved.

    1. Hi Ginger. That’s so wonderful that you’ve learned that God is faithful and He’s the first one you turn to. I have to admit, I generally pray but then run to someone else. I’m learning to lean into Him and wait! Blessings to you!
