Today I’m thrilled to team up with my friend Jodie of Jodie’s Touch of Style to share with you a couple of pretty spring and summer wedding guest dresses. Of course, considering the times we’re in, any weddings you may have anticipated attending may well be postponed. Still, my hope is that at least some of you will get to rejoice with happy couples in the months to come. So I’m sharing lots of beautiful spring and summer wedding guest dresses to choose from.
In fact, the wedding for which I originally purchased this beautiful floral dress has been rescheduled for a date closer to Christmas. The couple got married on the March date they’d planned, but because they moved the little ceremony (reduced to just ten people including the photographer) to an outdoor park on a cold day, I didn’t get to wear this dress. But this beautiful floral faux wrap dress will look lovely for other summer occasions or even church.
I love a floral frock for spring and summer weddings. Wearing a pretty floral print is a lovely way to bring your own touch of whimsy and romance to this special occasion. My Vince Camuto faux wrap midi dress is almost gone at Nordstrom, but is still available in more sizes at Belk. I’m wearing my usual size 8 and it fits nicely, but definitely is not roomy.
In case of a chill or draft, I opted for my Veronica Beard blue blazer over a more traditional shawl or cardigan. I simply chose to use what I have in my closet rather than buying a wrap just for this dress. And that’s part of the beauty of this classic but feminine blazer. It goes with everything!
This blossom-tossed dress features a cascading split hem and double ruffles on the cap sleeves. It stayed closed at the chest for me, but I’ll probably take it to Nordstrom (where I purchased mine) to have a small snap inserted just for safety, especially since I get store credit for alterations with Nordy Club.
I chose to wear my Sam Edelman Hazel pumps in nude blush patent leather because, you know, no pedicure. #covid19fallout But even if I’d opted for my heeled sandals, I would have worn nude. I just love the way nude heels elongate and slenderize the legs. But you absolutely could wear white or any color that makes an appearance in the dress, maybe blue or rose.
My Ted Baker handbag is no longer available in this beautiful pale neutral. But I think this Nordstrom Finn leather hobo bag in beige smoke is just as lovely.
My necklaces are no longer available, but I definitely think dainty jewelry is a wise choice here. This pearl bar necklace paired with this pave bar pendant necklace would work beautifully. And my Kendra Scott Veronica hoop earrings are fast turning into favorites, especially when wearing feminine or dressier clothes. My shades were purchased with a birthday bonus from Tory Burch and I love the large frames. These Sam Edelman sunnies are comparable at a more economical price. Remember, they may seem simply utilitarian and unimportant, but sunglasses can make or break your outfit.
To help you find a pretty frock for the wedding you’re hoping to attend this spring or summer, I’ve put together a shopping boutique full of options. I especially love the selection I’m finding at Chico’s. They now have dresses from Maggy London, Adrianna Papell and Eliza J. This pink chiffon high-low midi dress by Adrianna Papell is stunning.
BEFORE YOU GO…
Thanks so much for dropping in today and talking wedding guest dresses with me. Let’s hope we are able to celebrate these monumental milestones with family and friends again soon.
Don’t forget to check out Jodie’s wedding guest dress post, too. Jodie and I met last year when she and her husband were visiting Arizona and I lived there. Then I moved away to Ohio and she moved from Colorado to Arizona! And it was about this time last year that Jodie and I collaborated on a What to Wear to a Funeral post.
Jodie is warm, friendly and beautiful. She’s been blogging at Jodie’s Touch of Style for several years now, where she also features her mom and other over 50 friends. Jodie has a beautifully eclectic style, gravitating to lots of vibrant color, layers of texture and unique vintage finds. I can’t wait to see what she’s chosen to wear to a spring or summer wedding. Please visit her blog today, leave her a sweet “hello” and tell her I sent you.

Blessed for My Day
Do you ever wonder what you can do to help a friend or loved one who is going through a difficult time? Whether your friend is simply having a bad day or she’s battling her way through a difficult season, what she needs is lots of grace. Thankfully, grace abounds. But sometimes our loved ones need to be reminded that God is gracious and willing to supply every need they have.
If she needs courage, she’ll find it in Jesus, who courageously walked toward the cross. If she needs strength, she’ll receive it from God who raised Jesus from the dead. If she needs love, God can give it lavishly. He so loved her He sent His Son to die for her. And if she needs wisdom, God gives it liberally and without reproach to those who simply ask. Remind your friend or loved one that she can find grace for every need from God.
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. ~ Philippians 1:2

Hi Bev. Thank so much. Yes, I really like the blue blazer with the dress even more after seeing the photographs. I was a little unsure about that decision. But now I’m all for it. Just goes to show how important it is to take a selfie of our outfits! Have a lovely day!
