Honestly, the easiest person in my family to shop for is my 26-year-old daughter. She keeps a running wish list. Ha! And many of the items on my Gift Guide for Young Women are recommendations from Abigail. Check out these gifts with the young woman in mind.

AUKEY Car Phone Mount Air Vent Cell Phone Holder // My daughter has this type of car phone mount that attaches to an air vent and loves it. This inexpensive but oh-so-necessary gift would make a great stocking stuffer.
Fujifilm instax Mini 9 Instant Camera (Ice Blue) with Film Twin Pack Bundle // Any gift list curated with the assistance of my daughter is going to include this Abby-favorite. She pulls this darling and functional camera out every time we’re together! Look what she did with it the morning after Daniel’s wedding when we were brunching with friends.
The Madewell The Medium Transport Tote // Abigail works at Madewell now as an assistant manager, and she tells me these are hot, hot, hot with young women. Honestly, this bag is so fresh, contemporary and high quality. I have a similar one, and can highly recommend it. Margot Faux Fur Slippers // Another store my gal likes to shop is Anthropologie. She can’t afford to buy much there. Ha! But she would love these faux fur slippers for two reasons: they’re darling and cozy and warm and fabulous…and they come from Anthropologie! 39 Piece General Repair Hand Tool Set with Tool Box Storage Case // Shh! Don’t tell Abby, but this is on my list for her. No, she didn’t recommend this handy pink trimmed tool set, but it’s high time she had one. Especially single young women like mine will benefit from this handy gift, but I would love to have one of these, too. So even the married gal can appreciate her own set of tools for hanging pictures and curtains, tightening a bolt or assembling a piece of furniture.

Gorjana Capri Layered Necklaces // My young woman loves dainty jewelry, and I find that’s true for many young gals. I think Gorjana does dainty jewelry like nobody’s business. And right now they’re offering a really nice and functional free jewelry travel roll with purchase of $150 or more.
A Gift Card with Her in Mind // My daughter loves to do her own purchasing, of course. But I’ve discovered that most young women don’t always get to shop or dine where they’d love to because of funds. So why not give her the gift that keeps on giving? Barefoot Dreams® CozyChic® Robe // Really anything by Barefoot Dreams is going to be a hit with your young woman. I happen to know two young women *wink, wink* who are receiving a Barefoot Dreams item picked up in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Ooh, and don’t you know she’d love one of these blankets?
Vera Bradley Curling Iron & Flat Iron Cover // Abby and I both have one of these pretty and functional flat iron covers. You can pop your heated instrument into as soon as you are finished using it, even before it cools off. Great for travel, too.
Vera Bradley Lunch Bunch Bag // We also both have these Vera Bradley lunch bags and of course Abigail actually uses hers more often since she works outside the home. I like that it’s big enough to pack a sizable lunch in, but small enough to fit in a locker or desk drawer. Vera Bradley also has a full range of gifts and stocking stuffers in their gift guide.
Rifle Paper Company 2020 Planner // Who doesn’t love Rifle Paper Company stationery and paper goods? But I think young women especially have an affinity for it. Blessed for My Day
As we’re preparing for Christmas, I think it’s important not to overlook preparing our hearts for Thanksgiving. While few things are as important as celebrating the birth of the Messiah, I do think celebrating Thanksgiving fully helps put us in the right frame of mind for the nativity season.
Let’s begin by thanking God for whatever circumstances we find ourselves in today. For even if we’re physically ill, financially strapped, relationship challenged or grief-stricken, we can know that God is at work. He does not waste any pain and He does not ignore any of our tears. He is a good God who can be trusted even during the darkest days. Let’s be thankful that He is working something good in our lives through every circumstance we encounter.
Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. ~ 1 Thessalonians 5:18
My soon-to-be-17 yo daughter would love many of these, too! (And she has that exact camera!) Thanks for the great ideas…great for young teachers, nieces, etc., too!
Kay, as usual a great post! I have the same Delsey luggage in black cherry. I love it! The color is a beautiful deep black cherry. The combination TSA approved lock is fantastic. The easy access outer section on the carry on is very handy. I have the international carry on and the checked medium. Last November I few to Texas with my daughter and I was able to get what I needed in the international carry on (with packing cubes!) and a tote. I was able to pack for five days and I didn’t have to check a bag. When my husband and I travelled to Europe in August I used the checked medium and a tote (again, packing cubes to the rescue) I was concerned about the amount of space the wheels on the international carry on would have taken up so I opted for the tote. I would have been fine because there were passengers with larger carry ons that made it through without checking.My Delsey has held up beautifully. Also, it’s lightweight. Wheels are smooth. Best purchase in luggage that I have made. Your Christmas list has given me some great ideas. Thank you! Enjoy Thanksgiving with your family.
Oh that is so good to hear. I really appreciate your story because just last night I was googling international carry on trying to figure out if it was approved for domestic flights. So evidently it is and that’s good to know. I’m definitely getting my daughter this one for Christmas. ?
Just a note. The international carry on is a little smaller than the regular carry on. I opted for the international because we were planning a trip to Europe plus for domestic flying the airlines seem to be a little different with the measurements of the carry ons. It’s good to check out the measurements for the different airlines so that you won’t have a problem. I definitely didn’t have a problem flying domestically with the smaller international. Good luck!
