As I’m wrapping up my vacation and flying home, I thought I’d share another one of the outfits I wore this past week. I packed these bright crops from Chico’s along with this colorful, comfortable elbow sleeve t-shirt because they don’t really wrinkle and they’re just easy. There’s nothing especially fancy about this ensemble, but honestly, it’s the kind of stuff I live in during the summer months.
My So Slimming Brigitte Crops are in ultra violet, but they’re also available in white, navy and several other summery shades. As I prepared this blog post (more than a week in advance, mind you) they are marked down considerably. I hope they still are. These crops are made of a nice, heavy cotton/rayon/spandex combination. You just pull them on, and they have a smoothing tummy feature. All that may sound uncomfortable, but they’re not. They really are no fuss/no muss pants.
My elbow sleeve tee was still in stock in most sizes when I last checked. And it’s also marked down. I like that the hemline isn’t straight across, but has a more flattering curved line.
I wore my gia toe-ring sandals, as I do with most everything these days. One of the things I like about these sandals is that the gold is not shiny, but matte. I had read on the reviews of these sandals that someone experienced the gold fading from her sandals the first day she wore them. But nothing like that has happened and I’ve worn them almost daily. I really like these metallic sandals from Talbots, too.
I wore my James Avery charm bracelet and my James Avery French Heart pendant necklace with my Brighton French wire earrings.
This is such a simple outfit, but it’s colorful and flattering. I like that Chico’s has such a wide variety of simple crop pants and tops to choose from. And they mix and match easily. I’m providing links to several other styles you might like in the shopping widget below.

Blessed for My Day
Today may you find great blessings in the simple things. As you pause to just sit before the Lord, may you enjoy His presence. As you lean in and listen – really listen – to those you love, may God cause your heart to swell with affection for them. As you accomplish the little tasks at work or home, may you enjoy the fulfillment of a job well done. And as you lay your head upon your pillow tonight, may you find contentment in knowing that you have never once been alone today, but God has walked every step with you. May you be blessed with the simple things today.
He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? ~ Micah 6:8
A very beautiful Blessed for My Day today. Safe travels home, Kay.
