Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I can’t believe how the summer is flying by. And since my mind has been on the fall fashions in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale so much lately, it seems even closer to the waning days of summer. But in fact, we have plenty of warm summer days to wear easy breezy styles like the one I’m sharing today.
Check out this darling hot pink print tasseled summer ruana!
It’s no secret that I love ruanas, kimonos, wrap, dusters…whatever you want to call them! Ever since I posted this striking red kimono last spring, I’ve been spreading the word on the easy going elegance of these accessory staples. And evidently they’re not leaving the style scene any time soon.
I received this easy breezy summer ruana in my last Trunk Club trunk. I immediately fell in love. It’s simple and a sweet price, but I love the playful tassels and the lightweight fabric.
This floral print summer ruana is also available in a pink mosaic print and similar black and white prints. You could easily pair it with jean shorts or a denim skirt, or so many other summer basics really. Plus it would make a lovely swimsuit cover up.
I’m really enjoying these crop flare button-fly jeans that I purchased in the spring. They’re still fully stocked and 40% off. Fingers crossed that they’re still on sale! I’m wearing a 29, true to size.
You could also wear a white or hot pink tank under this summer ruana, but I topped off my simple white pocket tee. I’m wearing a small, true to size. I love that this tee is a nice thickness, keeps it shape around the neck and features a flattering v-neck.
To cap off this oh so simple summer look, I added my delicate palm necklace with bright pink earrings and coordinating enamel bangles. My earrings are no longer available, but I found these fringe drop earrings and these Contessa tassel earrings for you to consider. Both could be worn with so many fun summer pieces.
There are some color combinations that just scream easy breezy class to me. And the mixture of pink, blue, white and saddle leather is one of those combos. I think this look has an effortless, casual appeal that works for so many summer days.

Blessed for My Day
Today let’s choose to begin and end our day with praising the God who has given us life. Let’s praise Him as we recognize the ways He has graciously provided for us. And let’s praise Him each time we feel His presence or discern His instructions or remember His character.
But let’s also choose to praise God when all does not seem well. Let’s offer up an acknowledgement of His goodness when our faith begins to waver or the circumstances look daunting. And when we can’t feel Him let’s still confess His presence. Yes, praise is sometimes an overflow of emotion. But more often, in the real world, it’s a choice of obedience and faith.
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord! ~ Psalm 150:6
Really pretty on you, Kay! You look so pretty in this outfit!
Thanks so much Beth. It’s a fun one to wear! ?
Fabulous BFMD! This is a great outfit that you look so nice and chic in! Last year I had one duster that I wore a few times, but it ended up in the donations pile because it would not stay in place on my shoulders. I attribute that to the wearer and not the garment. I don’t know if you follow Beneath My Heart, the blog that Traci Hutcherson (sister of Cyndi Spivey) has, but her family of 7 is moving from KY to TN. No movers for them, so they have been put in long hours and lots of physical labor. Good luck as you continue to pack and prepare for the movers to come. I know that this Sunday will be a very emotional day for the two of you and your current church family. Sending GA hugs!
Thanks so much Ginger. Yes, we’re very blessed to have movers doing the packing and the hauling. Im feeling this move at my age, so I’m grateful for the help. Thanks so much for the Georgia hugs!! ?
Such a pretty Ruana! At first I didn’t care for Ruanas but they have grown on me. The problem I have is I’m only 5’3 and would need a petite, which I’ve yet to find. I’m glad your move is coming along and you’re finding pockets of time to rest. Be Blessed!
Thanks so much Nancy. You might consider the kimonos at Loft. They’re shorter?. https://shopstyle.it/l/6baI
You look great in this outfit! And, I loved your “Blessed for My Day” post. Praying for you and James as you finish up everything necessary for your move and say those final goodbyes – as well as for your adjustment to your new home.
Thanks so much Debbie. Nothing helps more than prayers!! ?
Your Ruana looks so nice on you. I wear white t-shirt and jeans instead of scrubs when I do my Care Giving job. So the Ruana gives this a whole new meaning! I have bought a couple things at Nordstroms through your Widget so I hope you are getting the commissions! Blessings to you on your move to Ohio.
Hi Aimee! Thanks so much for shopping my links. If you click through my links last before making purchases I should get the commission. But hey if you click through some other blogger that’s all good too. We all appreciate the support and the affiliate link system is set up to work organically. But I definitely appreciate the effort! ❤️
I’m behind in my emails but love, love this look! I also loved the BFMD! I’ve been struggling with some issues so it’s easy to forget to Praise when things aren’t going well but It’s so important, so thanks for the reminder!! Good luck with your move and welcome to Cincinnati!!
Glad that ministered to you Kathy. Hang in there. God is working even if you can’t see it yet. You can trust Him.
