Happy Monday, gals! I actually love Mondays because I feel like they are fresh starts. And this particular Monday is sweet because two of my favorite retailers have held their sales over through today. That’s good news because my fun pullover sweater and Merlot jeans featured in this blog post can be found at those two stores. Yippee!

Loft surprised us with a cyber sale Saturday evening, offering 50% off everything PLUS free shipping on every order with the code SURPRISE. Y’all. And while Talbots‘ 25% off Anniversary Sale doesn’t amount to as much savings, I’ve noticed that items are disappearing, so now’s the time to buy if you’re crushing on any of their new arrivals.

There’s just something charming and whimsical about bicycles, don’t you think? That’s what drew me to this comfy, lightweight, machine washable blue sweater. I’m wearing a small, and it fits true to size. This is a Loft sweater so it’s 50%, just through today. As of Sunday evening, all sizes were in stock, plus it’s available in plus sizes.

I didn’t want to distract from the embroidered bicycle, so I doubled up this pretty gold layering necklace for a shorter accessory. I have been looking for a long gold necklace because I have mostly silver jewelry. But several I have ordered have disappointed me with their brassy gold sheen or their cheap construction. But this one from Talbots checked all my boxes. And I especially like that it has a fastener so I can double loop it and wear it shorter like this. It’s a keeper. And it’s more than 25% off. It also comes in silver.

I love, love, love these Merlot jeggings from Talbots. After showing you colored jeans from other brands in previous posts, these are the pair I have finally settled on. They’re high waisted and oh, so comfortable. They still have most sizes in the bay leaf green, but these Merlot jeans are disappearing fast. I’m wearing a 6 and they run true to size for jeans.

I decided to create a coordinated and polished but casual look by wearing my fig colored sneakers with my jeans/sweater combo. I’ve been wearing these Tevas a little over a month now, and they’re at the point where I don’t even know I have shoes on when I wear them. They’re that comfy. And I’m really enjoying pairing this color with my jeans and joggers. They’re almost 50% off now.

I carried my Fossil Fiona crossbody and my S’well water bottle. This highly rated and sleek water bottle is in a Liberty fabrics design, and they have a few other Liberty patterns as well. I’m linking to the bottle at Saks Fifth Avenue simply because the price is the same everywhere, but Saks offers free shipping everyday with code FREESHIP.

Thanks for spending some time with me here at Dressed for My Day today. I hope you have a blessed and beautiful day. And I hope this Monday proves to be a fresh start if that’s what you need today.

Blessed for My Day

Today may you trust God with the duties of being God, and may you simply relax into seeking and pleasing Him. So often we complicate life because we try to figure it out, manage it, manipulate others, stay a step ahead, plan it out and fix it. But such behavior only frustrates us…because there’s no possible way to do those things. We’re trying to take God’s job and be the boss. Instead, let’s commit our way to Him. Let’s trust Him and allow Him to rule the universe. More importantly, let’s allow Him to rule our lives. Let’s dwell on the things that please Him and allow Him to dwell on the things that boggle our minds. Let’s chill a little. He’s got this.

Delight yourself in the Lordand he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lordtrust in him, and he will act. ~ Psalm 37:4-5
