Hi friends! Well, I’m back from my vacation to the Oregon coast and Portland. We had a wonderful week, and it was a little hard to come home. But in the end I’m glad to be back to my home, my doggies and my work.
We did have a significantly delayed final flight last night, so I didn’t get home until 4:30 this morning. Ugh! Exhausting. But Southwest Airlines has already responded to my desperation cry on my Instagram story by promising to send me a LUV voucher in the next 14 days. Now that’s my kind of airline! I’m more glad than ever to be a Southwest Rapid Rewards Credit Card holder. In fact, it was only because we had sufficient travel points with Southwest that we were able to take this trip at all.
I’ll tell you more about my trip to Oregon next week, but today I had a special treat planned for my readers. I’m a little late on the delivery because of my delayed travel yesterday. But I still want to go forward with my plans. I’ve got someone for you to meet. And I suspect you might become friends!
Meet Another Faith-Filled Style Blogger
I’d like to introduce you gals to another gal who blogs about her fashion style and her faith. Meet Dianna Miller. In fact, Dianna started doing this long before me.
I met Dianna the same way many of you met me, through her blog! But I love this woman’s spirit and style. She’s a wife, mom, Jesus follower, breast cancer survivor, transplanted Southerner (like me!) and style blogger.
Of her style, Dianna says, “My personal style for everyday is pretty casual since I work at home. When it’s warm, I wear shorts and cute tees. When it’s cold, I live in jeans, tees, and cardigans. I love cardigans. I also like to incorporate the current fashion trends in my everyday wardrobe. If I have a more formal event to attend, I tend to dress in classic feminine pieces.”
Like me, Dianna always ends her posts with a devotional thought and scripture. Her faith is important to her, and she sees her blog as a way to encourage women in their walk with Christ. ” My ultimate goal is to encourage other women to feel confident in who they are inside and out,” says Dianna. “I try to offer affordable everyday outfits that look and feel great. Most of all, I want to encourage my readers in their faith and walk with Christ.”
So without further ado, I’d like to encourage you to check out Dianna’s blog at Dressed In Faith. You can start by reading today’s post (a cute, colorful sundress!) or you could first read more about Dianna.
I’ve told her you gals are coming for a visit, so do me proud! Leave her a comment and give the girl some love. And if you’d like, subscribe to her blog, too. That would be awesome!
Blessed for My Day
While we were in Portland, Oregon, we stayed in the beautiful home of some dear friends. Mike and Laurie are two of the most gracious and generous people I’ve ever met. They literally showered us with blessings while we stayed in their home. Maybe I’ll give you the details some other time, but for now all you need to know is that they shared their abundance with us freely. That got me to thinking about my own “wealth.” I could have become envious of what they have to share and what I don’t have. But, by God’s grace, He led me instead to consider what kind of steward I’ve been with what I have been given. No, I may not have been blessed with a large house or the ability to decorate it luxuriously, but I have been entrusted with a lovely home, good health, opportunities to engage with other people and enough. More than enough, really. So the question I’ve been asking myself in the past 24 hours is, “How could I be a better steward of the things God has entrusted to me?” Maybe you could ask yourself that question today, too.
As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace. ~ 1 Peter 4:10
Thank you so much Kay!! I am so glad we got to meet on this blogging journey. You have such great style and are a fabulous writer – I love reading your blog too!
Both of you are truly beautiful and inspirational ladies, thank you, Pattijo
Thanks for your comments regarding our stewardship. I’ve been feeling convicted the past few weeks that I, too, need to re-evaluate if I’m being a good steward of God’s resources. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!
Thanks for the intro…how wonderful to meet another blogger!!
XOXO
