Happy Monday, gals. As we begin a new week, I’m beginning a new season in my life. Today they’re unloading our moving van and we’re officially moving into our new home in Cincinnati, Ohio. James and I are beyond excited for this new chapter in our lives.
With all the moving and a couple of sponsored posts in the books, I missed getting out my July Favorites during the month of July. But it’s not too late to take a look at these well used and loved items in my closet and makeup bag. In fact, several of them are now discounted significantly.
These are the items I’ve truly worn and enjoyed during the month of July. Some of them are old favorites, but most of them are fairly new purchases.
Fringe Detail Straw Hat
I was gifted this fringe detail straw hat by Chico’s, but it has fast become a favorite that I wear often. It was in the car with me as we drove from Arizona to Ohio, shading me when we’d stop anywhere along the way. I think a hat like this is a must on vacation, but it’s really an essential through the sunny days of summer.
Gala Slides in Leopard
I was afraid I’d purchased these leopard slides so late in the summer that I wouldn’t get my money’s worth out of them. I shouldn’t have worried. I wear them almost daily right now.
In fact, like the hat above, I’ve traveled across the country with these easy-to-slip-on sandals. They go with most everything I wear! They’re comfortable and fit true to size.
Blue & Neutral Multi Strand Necklace
I also received this blue and neutral multi strand necklace in my collaboration with Chico’s. But I’ve long had a thing for Chico’s jewelry. And they often run sales on it, too.
This necklace coordinates so effortlessly with many of my favorite summer outfits.
Of course, I also love the coordinating bracelet set.
Large Brushed Teardrop Earrings
I received these large brushed gold teardrop earrings in my last Trunk Club Trunk, and easily made the decision to purchase them.
These large teardrop earrings are modern looking and large enough to serve as your stand-alone accessory, if you choose. They’re also available in a silver finish.
Lancome Genifique Eye Cream
I’ve been wearing this Lancome Genifique Eye Cream for at least a couple of years now. I really think it’s a deal breaker for me. And when I realized I hadn’t ever mentioned it in a “favorites” list, I knew I needed to.
Not only does the Lancome Genifique Eye Cream provide a smooth, moisturized surface for my eye makeup application, but I think it helps my eye makeup stay put throughout the day. Of course, it also helps combat signs of aging around my eyes.
French Terry Dress
My daughter Abigail modeled this dress in a post here on Dressed for My Day. (She chose to buy a petite sized dress for her 5’8″ frame since she’s 25 and wanted a more youthful look.)
But I also have and wear this easy-going French Terry Dress. Mine is a misses length, size small.
Again, I wore this dress on my trip across country, too. It’s so comfortable and easy to wear.
Red Denim Pedal Pushers
I realize you either love these pedal pushers or you hate them. Well, I tell you what, gals! I love them!
Honestly, I don’t like capri pants. But these denim alternatives to shorts hit just below the knee with a loose, casual fit, so I think they look much more contemporary. Again, I’ve worn them on my cross country trip and so many other times. In fact, I love them with the sleeveless shirt that’s next on my list.
I’m wearing an 8 in these and they’re quite roomy. I could probably wear a 6. These darling denim pedal pushers are also available in light aqua, and both colors are marked down considerably.
Sleeveless Button-Back Denim Shirt
Also a part of my collaboration with Chico’s, this sleeveless denim shirt fast became a favorite.
This shirt looks casual and smart with white shorts or pants, my orange cropped cuffed jeans, my red pedal pushers or blue jean shorts. So easy to pair!
I’m wearing a size 0 (4/6-S) in the shirt and it fits just right. It’s fully stocked, last I checked, and marked down.
Well, those are my July favorites! These are items I love and wear frequently. So if you have any questions I failed to answer in the post, just give me a holler in the comments. I’m moving in today, but I’ll get back with you as soon as I can.

Blessed for My Day
I’ve often wondered how young David must have felt when he was summoned from the field to appear before Samuel only to discover that he had first been dismissed by his own father. Yes, God had chosen him to be the future king of Israel, but his own dad had overlooked him for this role.
Honestly, that scenario has given me hope at times. Keep in mind, dear gals, that God sees more potential in you than you or anyone else can see with the human eye. He looks upon our inner woman and sees a well spring of His power, love and supernatural gifts. Don’t doubt for one minute that God can do what He says He can do through you.
But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.” ~ 1 Samuel 16:7
Enjoy the Cincinnati area Kay!!! I was born and raised there but moved away when I was 27…….that’s been over 32 years bow! I’ll be flying there for a wedding though in about a week and a half. Enjoy this new chapter in your lives the Lord has given you??
Thanks so much Holly. I think we are really going to love it here. ?
Welcome home!
Lol! Yes!! Thanks so much.
Glad you all made the journey safely to your new home. ☺
You made it!!!! Yay! Prayers for the exhausting unpacking process. Love your BFMD–so needed. Thank you! I’ll be keeping an eye on that Chico’s shirt!
I’m so glad y’all made it to Cincinnati safely and are now ready to begin unpacking. I suspect that this new chapter will be filled with lots of love and laughter. I do hope your dog won’t have a tough time adjusting to the new space. Have a blessed day! Oh, have I missed the challenge for this week or are you taking a break due to the move? Thanks!
Yay! I’m thankful you and James made it to your new home safe and sound! God is faithful! I LOVE that hat and am wishing/hoping it goes on sale soon before it’s sold out. It’s a bit pricey for me without a sales tag attached to it. Have fun setting up your new home. I know your new church family will be a blessing to you and James and are excited to welcome you both with open, loving arms and hearts! I love the reminder of trusting God with the unique, individual purpose God has for my life just as He did for David. I needed to hear that today.
Congratulations on arriving at your new home safely! I hope you will be blessed there?
