Hi gals! I missed you yesterday! But it was very nice to feel like I could totally relax this past Easter weekend and just sink into the celebration. And that’s exactly what I did. We had a wonderful Easter brunch and service at church Sunday and then I spent a lot of time just resting and enjoying the day. But today I’m glad to be back on the blog and sharing with you a sweet spring floral top that I’ve paired with my white jeans.
I love so many things about this pretty spring combo. I wear my white jeans at least once a week, so that’s one thing. Second, green is one of my signature colors, so this flutter sleeve v-neck shirt is a winner. And I think my denim jacket makes the whole ensemble pop.
Unfortunately, my white jeans have sold out. They were marked down drastically this weekend, so it’s no wonder. But I imagine these at Ann Taylor fit very similarly. I’m wearing a 6 in the curvy fit, as I always either get white jeans in a size up or in the curvy fit.
This green floral top is still fully stocked, last I checked. It’s been marked down considerably for the last few days. We’ll see if they’re offering any special deals today on it.
The website calls it a flutter sleeve tee, but make no mistake, this is not a t-shirt. This flowy top is crafted from 100% polyester and features smocking detail at the tops of the flutter sleeves. I’m wearing a small and it’s very comfortable.
I wore my shirt tucked just in the front. I find that creates the illusion of a trim waistline but offers the fullness I desire to cover all the imperfections. Ha! Really, a belt is optional. So wear one if that fits your body type, but omit it if you’d rather not have another line across your midsection.
I love wearing these saddle leather wedge sandals with my white jeans because I think the elongate the leg. That’s why I chose this neutral colored shoe. But they do come in other colors and textures. These shoes run true to size and fit amazingly comfortably for heels. Of course, flats would work beautifully with this outfit, too.
Whenever I have a v-neck like this, I usually choose to wear my gold layering necklaces. They keep the attention up toward my face and add some brightness to the overall look. I’m wearing the star necklace, the chloe mini strand and the chloe mini choker (which is sold out).
I carried all the things in my leather tote. This bag is proving to be a winner. Yes, it’s a little pricey. But because it’s such a beautiful leather and a great neutral shade, I consider it a wise investment. However, I also love this pick for a lower priced faux leather choice. And if you’d like to consider the zippered version of my bag, you’ll find it here.
Really, you just can’t go wrong with white jeans and…well, just about anything! But I especially love the pop of green in this outfit against the white jeans and blue denim jacket. Such a great color combo!!

Blessed for My Day
I am so grateful for my salvation. The Lord paid a heavy price for a debt I could not pay and I have been redeemed. I’m no longer a slave to sin and death, but I now live free and forever.
However, Jesus did not just set me free. He also has promised to satisfy my every need. He alone can satisfy my hungry soul. Jesus is the One who satisfies my desires for significance, purpose, unconditional love and security. Today let’s remember to run to Him when our soul aches for that indescribable something. When we feel restless, dissatisfied, empty or alone, let’s turn to him rather than a person, substance or experience. He can satisfy our every soul-craving.
“I, the Lord, am your God,
Who brought you up from the land of Egypt;
Open your mouth wide and I will fill it.” ~ Psalm 81:10
Gorgeous outfit! That green top really pops between the white jeans and blue denim.
Thanks Fonda. Yes, I love this color combo. ?
I missed you Kay but I’m happy you had a wonderful Easter celebration and a couple days off, so important! The outfit is very classy and such a nice color combination! Also, I love everything you ordered from Talbots and hope to see how you style some of them. Be blessed in Him today!
Thanks Nancy. I’ll definitely have some great things to share from the Talbots Friends and Family sale. ?
Love the blouse! Such a crisp spring look, similar to what I’m wearing today – khaki pants, pink and navy floral v-neck top and my blue denim jacket. And one of my mother’s gold James Avery bracelets to top it all off. Glad you were able to enjoy your Easter weekend.
Sounds so pretty Alison. Ahh, to have a gold James Avery bracelet! ?
Kay, That blouse is so pretty and you look so nice in the outfit. As much as I missed having a post from you yesterday, not working on Easter Sunday is more important. Have a fabulous day!
Thanks so much Ginger! Blessings to you! I was thinking about you this morning as I was missing my dog Tommy a little. You guys doing ok?
I have my moments Kay, when the tears flow. But overall, I’m doing okay. Larry is doing better than I am. This weekend we are going to the Vidalia Onion Festival; this will be our first get away without Java, so I anticipate having some tough moments. Thank you for asking! I hope your pup is doing okay!
Ah fun! My grandparents lived in Vidalia and grew the famous sweet onions. I hope you have a wonderful time! ?
This will be our first time going to the festival. Thursday is Larry’s 2nd Birthday since having the auto stem cell transplant for multiple myeloma, so we are celebrating. Randy Houser and Carly Pearce are in concert Saturday night, so we are looking forward to seeing them.
Love this outfit! So pretty, and I love the contrast of the denim jacket I struggle finding shoes that I think look good with my white jeans. Your wedge heel looks good so I am going to have to try on some of those. I like the Treasure and Bond shoe, just wonder if it’s too high for me. I’d like to try it on before I buy. Anyway, thanks for sharing.
Yeah, these are pretty high but they’re constructed well so they feel pretty good on. Thanks for reading! ?
My spring wardrobe is sooo in need of updating, and that flutter sleeve top is just so pretty. I’m feeling inspired to try some new looks! Thanks for sharing not only the clothing and accessories but the great tips on how to wear them.
Look all these looks for spring! Appreciate the Blessed for My Day.
I really liked what you picked for today especially the green blouse. It really makes the outfit. I especially enjoyed your BFMD today and it was just what I needed. I went to visit a friend who has had a change in health status and I am feeling helpless about the situation. Thank you again.
Oh thanks for letting me know Rory. I’m so glad that spoke to you. Blessings to you! ?
