Hello gals! Welcome to Dressed for My Day, where my goal is to inspire and help women like you and me to dress beautifully and appropriately for our unique days so we can engage gracefully with those around us and influence them positively. Even though our temperatures (here on the border of Mexico!) have dipped down to freezing again, I’m still styling spring. And today I’m sharing some sweet spring pastels with white jeans.

Spring Pastels with White Jeans

I love wearing white jeans, especially in the spring and summer. You can pair them up with absolutely anything and everything. But since spring is almost here, I thought it would be nice to top my white jeans with some sweet spring pastels.

Spring Pastels with White Jeans

Do you resist wearing white jeans for fear that they’ll get dirty? Don’t! They’re denim, so they wash up so easily. And you can always add a little bleach to the washer if needed. Mine are from last year at Loft, but I imagine this year’s version fits similarly. I size up to an 8 or a size 29 in white jeans and get the curvy fit if available (these are), and these fit true to size for me. These white jeans are also available in the modern fit.

I topped my white jeans with an easy-breezy knit button-sleeve top from J.Jill in robins egg blue. Unfortunately they’re almost out of the shirt in that color. But it’s also available in white and moss green. I’m wearing a small.

Still, it’s worth checking out the selection at J.Jill because today, for the final day, you get 30% off your entire purchase with code MARCH19, plus free shipping on purchases over $125.

In fact, they appear to be fully stocked in the robins egg blue in this cute and comfy side-tie top and this pima short sleeve v-neck tee.

While I love the detailing on this shirt, I think it’s my spring pastel jewelry that really completes this look. Both the pretty stretch bracelet and the spring pastels double drop necklace are also from J.Jill. So once again you get 30% off with code MARCH29. Oh, and if you have a J.Jill credit card you still get your additional 5% off, too.

As often as possible I like to style my outfits with both flats and heels here at Dressed for My Day. I know many of you gals prefer one or the other, and I want you to be able to envision the outfit with the shoe style of your choice. I’m wearing my open-toe sandal booties from Target. I bought these last spring, but they’re still trending and available in most sizes. They run true to size and they’ve been amazingly comfortable and durable for the low price I paid.

Don’t forget, you can order online with Target and pick up your order at your local store for free shipping.

Of course you could wear a low heel sandal with this outfit, too, but I chose my slip-on sneakers for a more casual flat shoe look. These are oh so comfy and perfect for strolling the streets of Bisbee, Arizona, where we snapped these shots.

These Marianne slip on sneakers feature a very light snake skin embossing, but really they’re just a great neutral shoe. I love wearing them with joggers, jeans, camo pants or chinos.

Finally, I just carried my Fossil crossbody. This little bag is still available in a number of pretty colors and prints. I especially like the aqua sky and the light taupe shades.

Blessed for My Day

Are you caught in the performance trap? Do you feel pressured to live up to some unrealistic standard of perfection? Or maybe you’ve bought into the lie that you must somehow make things happen for yourself and everyone else in your life, that you must provide for yourself and others.

Sister, you’re trying to take Jesus’ job. You need to lay that burden down. The only things Jesus has asked you to do are come to Him, follow Him and abide in Him. He doesn’t call you to perform, perfect or provide. As you go through your day, resist the temptation or the lie that beckons you to do more, be more, achieve more. Instead, rest in His provision and lean into Him. He’s got this.

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. ~ Matthew 11:28-29

  1. Beautiful look today Kay. I love white anything in the summer, skirts, jeans, shorts….all of it! I have to wait until at least May though, here in the suburbs of New York City white in the winter is virtually never seen. But once the season is here I wear it at least three times a week! Bisbee looks like an awesome town. I put it on my list of must see places.

    1. Yeah, I know white is quite out of place in cities and certain regions of the country until it warms up. We totally have to consider regional tendencies when dressing, huh. Something to look forward to! ?

  2. I love everything about that Fossil bag, but is it leather?? The description says man-made, and I don’t pay $100 for non-leather!

  3. I love this outfit but I am sad the top is out of sizes. The reason I think white jeans are hard to wear is if they aren’t thick enough then they can show our imperfections. Your recommendation to go up a size will help but I still think white jeans are tricky to wear. White denim always matches everything and looks great in spring and summer. I guess it’s worth the the hunt to find the right pair! Thanks for such a cute outfit!!

    1. Yes, you definitely have to shop for thick white denim. I should have mentioned that I really like these for that reason. I also have found Talbots white denim to be substantial. Good point. ?
