Happy Monday, everyone! Are you ready to step into a new week? Well, ready or not, here we go. Right? So I thought it might be good to kick off the week by sharing my selection of summer 2019 sandals. These are the sandals you’ve already seen me wear here at Dressed for My Day this spring, but I’ve also culled the Internet in search of more affordable options.
By the way, are your feet sandal ready? I admit, mine really weren’t until just before Mother’s Day when I finally got a salon pedicure. I usually get a salon pedicure a few times a year and then try to keep my feet in shape with home pedicures rest of the time. You might want to check out last year’s post on home pedicures if you do the same.
Alrighty! On to my sandal selection for summer 2019. I’m sharing a little about why I purchased each of these sandals, how they fit and what I’m wearing them with. Then I’m providing a shopping widget with my selected sandal plus other similar selections in all price ranges.
The Slide Sandal
I love having a simple slide sandal so that I can quickly put them on as I go out the door. These will undoubtedly be the most worn sandal in my summer 2019 sandals selection.
I’m enjoying wearing my slides with shorts, midi skirts, easy dresses and my chino pants.
These Sam Edelman slides fit slightly large on my feet, but I’m still wearing my normal 9.5. I like the classic styling, the flat heel and the neutral shade. I’m wearing them in Saddle Leather.
Of course, you can also get slides with platforms or heels. And you will find some with fun embellishment, too. I’m including a shopping widget with lots of price points and styles. Let me know in the comments section if you have a slide you’d recommend.
The Metallic Sandal
I loved, loved, loved wearing my gold metallic flip flops last year. So I decided to purchase another pair of metallic sandals this season. I got some that are a little dressier, but not much. I still want them to be versatile. And these are!
I’m enjoying wearing these with white slacks, jeans, shorts and dresses. I especially love these with my blue maxi dress, which, by the way, has been fully restocked.
Here’s a shopping widget with these and other metallic sandals for you to peruse. In a few instances, I couldn’t get a photo of the metallic version, but all of these sandals are available in some color of metallic. Many are available in several metallic choices.
The Platform Sandals
While I’m not one to wear high heels often, I do enjoy having a high heel casual shoe choice during the summer. And these Treasure & Bond platform wedge sandals are amazingly comfortable. I’ve worn them for long stretches of time and found them to be comfortable and easy to wear and walk in.
I’m enjoying wearing these sandals with my colored jeans, dresses and skirts.
My sandals fit true to size. And they are extremely comfortable. Also, I think they’re a decent price for what you get. But you’ll find more to choose from in other price points in the widget below. Many of the choices, including my Treasure & Bond sandals, are also available in a variety of shades and patterns.
T Strap Sandals
I don’t think I’d owned t-strap sandals since I was a kid. But I fell in love with my pale pink Alice leather sandals and couldn’t resist.
These sandals do feel a little snug from the toe strap to the heel strap, but I’m still wearing my normal 9.5 without any trouble. They feature an extremely cushioned sole and are quite comfortable.
These are another pair of versatile sandals. I’ve been wearing them with shorts, jeans and skirts.
In the shopping widget below you’ll find more t strap sandals. Some of these have the strap between the toe, while others have a t strap that connects with a cross strap. You’ll find all price points. Unfortunately I can’t vouch for any of them except the ones I own.
The Comfort Sandal
Finally, I bit the bullet and purchased a pair of high quality comfort sandals this year. The fact is, most better brands of orthopedic sandals do not deeply discount their shoes very often, so you generally pay more for these. But I decided the comfort was worth the price.
I’ve only featured these Ecco Yucatan sandals in one post so far, but I’ll be wearing them in more. They’re the perfect shoe to put on before and after hiking, golfing or other athletic endeavors.
These Ecco Yucatan sandals come in several color combinations, but I’m wearing the atmosphere/ice white. I think they’re the perfect neutral to go with so many spring and summer favorites. They run true to size and are amazingly comfy.
I’m including several other comfort sandals that I’ve heard good things about in the shopping widget below. These shoes provide varying degrees of support, but many of them are also great for travel.
Well, those are my picks for this summer. I’d love to hear about your favorite sandals and what you like about them. Thanks so much for reading today. Let me know if you have any questions.

Who do you esteem as wise? Remember, wisdom is not necessarily equated with grey hair and experience. And being wise does not simply come from taking a few laps around the block.
Biblical wisdom is seeing life and the individual circumstances of life from God’s perspective. Wisdom requires looking at the big picture and thinking long term. Let’s make sure that we seek wise counsel and perspective from those who truly have a biblical understanding of the world and who are seeking to honor God in all they do and say.
But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy. And the seed whose fruit is righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. ~ James 3:17-18
Fun seeing the sandals. I have old Ecco sandals that I lenjoy. Good to review posts wearing your choices!
Thanks for all your fashion advice!! I’m new to your blog and loving your style and the items you wear! Looking forward to your future posts! Love seeing all the cute summer sandals today!
Great!! Welcome Danelle. I hope you find this to be a warm, inviting and informative community of women. I’m so thrilled that you introduced yourself. Have a lovely week! ?
I have wanted to comment on several of your posts lately but haven’t had the time. Just wanted to let you know I ordered the Sam Edelman wedge slides with the two straps across in white. Unfortunately, with my high arches, I can no longer wear flats without arch support. I did buy a pair of Earth t-strap flats at QVC with arch support. I also have the Skechers and Teva athletic sandals and can vouch for them. I appreciate all the hard work you put into your posts and am happy to help support your blog through my purchases.
Thanks so much for the input and affirmation, Patt. We definitely all have our unique feet issues and it’s certainly smart to take care of them. I’m just thankful there are so many attractive options these days. Thanks for sharing! ?
Hi Kay! Our family left early yesterday, so I finally got to read this post. I am one of those with high arches, so I must have arch support in all of my shoes. You are right about the orthopedic shoes not being marked down to often. I am going to read your post from last year, about home pedicures, later, to see what I can learn. I use Tree Hut body scrub on my feet in the shower every night, then after I shower I rub Aquaphor all over them and put socks on, at least until bedtime.
That’s so wonderful that you take such good care of your feet like that. I like tree hut products too. I hope you had a nice time with your family. ?
